Repaired my torn mud flap / overfender assembly.
First I cleaned everything with soapy water and then rubbing alcohol.
Then I used a hot plastic stapler (plastic welder) to get everything lined up and held in place.
Then I clipped the remaining staple posts, generously applied JB Plastic Weld epoxy to the visible side, and once that set, the other side.
Once the epoxy cured, I taped up the color keyed sections and the mud flap section, and painted it with some Rust Oleum 2X primer and wheel paint.
The repair feels strong and looks great!
Now I just need to replace this broken clip…

Nice write up, mine had to be repaired as well when I got my 3rd gen before the aftermarket bumper. Thanks for showing me another tool I didn't know I needed also. Never heard of a plastic stapler until now.

I just bought a spare set of those as OEM backups since I plan to take the uglier set and cut off the bottom black section as it is stiff and gets caught on big rocks and deep snow. I'll replace it with some flexible rubber hanging down with some stiffeners, and chained to the bumper further back to prevent it from getting caught in the wheel.

I'm gonna add fogs to my factory wired 4WD inside my 4XI bumper at install and mod the wiring for anytime use
Is Amayama suspect for sending non-legit parts?

I did the same with the factory fog light wiring to aftermarket lights. Just make sure to check the current draw on your lights to see that it doesn't exceed the factory circuit. It's only 10 amps I think.
Most normal sized LEDs will be well under that, but the large round ones I have up front now are like 7 or 8 Amps each so I have one wired to the fog light switch for easy on/off use as a high beam and the other wired to a standalone switch for when I'm on the trail and want both on without needing to be able to switch it off fast.

Replaced the ol' cabin air filter and cried when she threw a P0441, need to

dropped th skid plate and scraped off 22 years of oil sludge. Looks like new - not that anyone will ever see it

Around here we call that "rust preventive coating".
is it a yota one or just aftermarket cheap supplier rebuild...just asking cause I have one needed in my not to distant future

Replaced front LCA bushings. This makes all 8 control arms, panhard, both sway bars, steering rack, and end link bushings.
Then I convinced myself I'd earned a ScanGauge with a [MENTION=15163]Spiker[/MENTION]Engineering mount.
(kind of wish I'd saved all the bushings now)

other than the press and plates that come with it...did you use a "kit" that supplied "pushers" to get old bushings out and new in. Sorry for the lack of correct word for "pushers"
reason I ask is this summer I plan to replace all those bushings also..a few could use it...rest preventative...hey its 22 years old with miles...im 69 with miles
