What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Ordered it a brand new steering rack!!! Mine has had an annoying leak since i got it so i thought I would treat it before winter.

Ordered it at 0650, at 0950 i got notice that it was shipped!

Ordered my suspension! Wheeler's Off Road was great to work with. Now to order some lower ball joints and figure out what I want to run tire wise.

Installed a B&M Tranny Cooler, Wheeler's Offroad front sway bar bushings and starting research for steering rack bushing install. Check out the rotted bushing. Weird how one fell apart and the others were fine.

changed the oil, installed a new oil cap gasket(pn90430-37140) and wired in another high tone horn from a ford -i was able to drain and save one of the ones i took off last night, so now i have 3 ford F350 horns, 2 h, 1 l.

I don't understand, why so many horns? Are they all wired to the steering wheel or do they sound off individually? Is this for rescue work?

well our trucks normally came with two hornsi replaced those with "man horns" as apposed to the "boy horns" that come stock. those got wet, and stopped working, so i bought new horns. as i was taking the old ones out water came out of them... so after i installed the new ones i bench tested the old ones, one worked after the water was "drained" so i just hooked it back up as well... so thats the reason for so many horns

yes they are "all" wired to the steering wheel" and yes we do use them in SAR, for "sound location or triangulation", so louder is better. and people tend to move out of you way or not cut you off so much when they fear the other vehicle is a lot bigger than they are...

Ordered a steering rack from Safari LTD, and OEM LBJs, OTREs, and front wheel bearings from Lowe Toyota (thank goodness for the 25% discount). That stuff sure does add up. $$$

I'll be ordering aftermarket UCAs tomorrow. I think I've decided on the ones from Light Racing.

Installed my 1/2in. body lift and cut the landing pads for my sliders.

What brand did you go with?

I went with the one from Rock Auto AAE, it is brand new and no one has had any trouble out of it. Also shipped was sub $260 so that was a good deal to me seeing as the junkyard wanted $135 for a used one.

Thanks. It lines up very well in my opinion. The corner under the flare sticks out a little less than an inch. But, it offers protection for the flares when on the trail. I'll try to get some pictures of that for you.

fixed rust issues on front and read bumpers. paint them with Rock guard..

they do but keep in mind they have a 6-12 month wait time.
