Get some 17" Toyota truck wheels off CL. Just make sure they are 6 lug & not 5.

I would do that, but I just bought brand new 265/70/16 tires a few months ago

I have huskey liners in my 99 and I actually think the weathertech liners are more heavy duty. Also do you have a build thread for your new 4runner?

Maybe the cargo liners are thicker than the floor liners for both brands. I can say for sure that the Husky cargo liner is thicker than these floor liners though. They still have some rigidity and I think they will hold up

Tundra Brakes, tires, balance, alignment

Slowly getting the new (to me) rig dialed in - picked it up today with the new Tundra brakes installed. Having driven 330k miles on stock brakes (15" wheels were on my old 1997) I was used to stuttering brakes. So, took it to Tru-Line in Bellevue for an alignment, and a steering-rack service to eliminate a steering shudder, and put 5 new tires on the wheels including an eBay spare alloy rim so it would fit over the new brakes.

Smooth. As. Silk. Tru-Line deserves their high ratings.

CL find, bought from another 4Runner fan (had a 4th and 5th Gen in garage) for a song. Tires are in good shape for a while, wheels have some flaking, but plan to paint them anyway! :banana:

I'm lazy and hate standing around at the pump for a full fill-up, so I often just throw a $20 in and get back on the road quickly. Lately I get around 120 - 130 miles or so per $20. 90% city driving too. I really need to do a tune up though. I'm sure that would help with MPGs.

I just purchased a 99 4Runner. I think it's the highlander edition but I'm not sure. Going to replace the whole suspension first thing (it's very bouncy) and possibly do the Tundra brake mod at the same time.

Turning on the ECT switch changes the shift points. It will hold the gear longer before shifting to a higher gear and will downshift to a lower gear sooner. Basically it's a tow/haul button. ECT stands for Electronically Controlled Transmission.

I do too. Helps compensate for my taller tires when accelerating. Like others said, it essentially raises the shift points and makes the truck "feel faster" but it really isn't.

Nice, I really want their front plate bumper! I've already got sliders and can't decide if I want/need a rear bumper. I'll probably end up ordering the front one before too long... You're not too far from me either. Less than 2 hours from me to you.

Well I ordered the complete package because I figured if I was gonna do it then I'd wait a little longer and do it all at once. And dang I didn't realize you were that close, nice to have someone else in Alabama lol
