Why not just install reverse LED bulbs?

Because adding a second light source for the reverse lights yields more coverage. Think of it like flashlights (fixed beam), you'll light up more area with two instead of one. I'll also be converting the reverse lights to switchbacks so they also work as secondary turn signals,so people behind me can't claim they didn't see me signaling.

Also, can you explain more about what you mean by LED-compatible relay for the flasher? You can't put in LED's in the flasher without replacing the relay first? I'd figure the LED's use a lot less power than conventional.

If you run LEDs with the OEM flasher, the turn signals will hyperflash (flash quickly) because of the decreased resistance, the flasher "thinks" there's a bulb out. You can band-aid the issue by splicing resistors parallel to the LED bulb, but those resistors get quite hot. A LED compatible flasher relay is designed for lower resistance loads and won't hyperflash, and threre's no need to splice into the turn signal wiring.

Just turn signals. 3rd-gens don't have a multiplex (aka CANBUS) system for the illumination circuits like European cars which can trigger a "bulb out" message

I'm currently experiencing issues with my 01' led tail lights that I installed on my 00' limited. My abs light is on and the main thing I've found is that people say the abs light comes on if your brake light goes out.

Replacing both brake lights AND the third brake light with LED's will throw the ABS light.

I'm currently running LED's in the brake lights and the stock bulb up top.
Haven't found any good LED's that light up the third brake light better than a halogen.

Pulling new power to an old 400W 2 channel amp I had laying around. Figured I'd also pull new speaker wire and just butt connect the old harnesses for the fronts for now. I put my old 6.5 concepts in the rear when I first got the truck. I'll be able to get some new component speakers for the front in a couple weeks. I'll also be picking up a larger 4 channel amp at the same time so I'll run 2 RCA leads as well.

Pulling through the front door looms is a special kind of fun. Type 2 fun for sure. I blame [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION] and his DIY thread for igniting this spark under my arse tonight. Thanks man. llol

Installed 99 coils front and rear
Learned that not all 99 4x4 coils are "tall" coils
The fronts were talls the rears were not
I gained 1" rear and 2" in the front though!
Also replaced drive belts and idler with oem
Not more engine noise.
Tomorrow is an alignment, recheck belt tension, and mount tires

That is totally unrealistic... reggers: There is no way a fat guy like that could climb up on the roof, the rear hatch ladders are only rated for 250 lbs. :flock:

Got it stuck, had to have my friend in a TJ pull it out, then almost shit my pants while balancing on two wheels and staring at a log that looked more than able to shatter the passenger window if it rolled... wasn't a great day. Overall 4/10 would let my other friend go at it with his Bronco

Added about 7psi to the intake and cylinders Simple straight forward Trd SC install, so no exciting pics. Computer is still learning but already feels way better! Stock pulley and no 7th/meth just yet.

Love my local machine shop. $70 for the bearing and stuff and the drum turned. At least it's the 4th and final wheel bearing.

Replaced the rear 99 tall springs with OME 906's. This was probably the single most noticeable mod I've done. The ride is outstanding now.
