With no springs I need to run 1" spacers to clear everything perfectly.
I will take pics of flex.
They are 10" shocks.
But we think I could run longer ones no prob.
When I blow these ill look into longer ones.
I know broker is running 11" shocks on his hoops but they are different.

broker has 35s on his.
he did a good amount of trimming.
i havent trimmed or beaten anything in.

I don't have trail flex pics of mine, but I'm running 35s with 1" wheel spacers, and I can pretty much lay the axle on the frame from side to side and flat. Here's a pic of all the sheet metal that was removed to get the flex I wanted

My truck is in some strange garage tonight... with a bunch of other Mall crawlers because they had other jobs that were more of a pain in the rear than they originally thought- so i got pushed aside. I guess that might be in any shop. I''m going to look in this "RE gearing" thing. My truck was never a off the line kinda truck anyhow and now since the 33's and i counted upwards of 400 pounds of extras i have a feeling that i'll need a hill to get her going... Hopefully i'll get that call to come and pick her up.. tomorow.. but i'll bet it might be longer. I was told $600 to install and weld everything i'll bet that number goes up too.. I'll have lots of pictures too!

Changed some lights. had a few little bulbs out, ordered some LED's to replace them. Finally had the time to get it done.
Some cool blue lights for the license plate lights. One was burnt, the other was loose, but these are much better. The wifey got pulled over for these being out about a week ago. How stupid. They should never go bad now.
Also had a corner light bulb out, so I got some amber LED's to replace those. Like the look much better now. Anyway, that's it for today.

Dont know how i missed your reply... but thanks for the confidence I have had Piaas for a while now... I see all the new fancy LED systems and wished i had gone that route.. but since they are going in the bumpers the Manufacturer gave me a reccomedation just stud bolt em in and spend a day busting knuckles and your good to go. I think when i wire these up in the spring i'm going to give the lights their Own feed thru- which means another hold... BTW is is easy to make a chassis punched hole? Drills are messy.

Almost flipped mine into my creek tonight. backing through and just missed the gravel, ground gave way next to the culvert and i backed over the gap. Had to get a wrecker.... almost lost her to the abyss that is my drainage ditch

Sorry I've had a couple drinks, but I'm confused lol... you say the lights are going in your Shrockworks right? I have mine in my ODL and there are mounting points for the lights. I just grabbed a bunch of small washers and mounted em up, but you could stud bolt em in I suppose? PIAA gave you the recommendation to stud bolt em in? I've never had to punch a hole through the chassis but I don't think it would be too much of a task.

Hey there,
The shockworks has "stud mounting" Tabs that are I guess in the space where the lights will go. Piaa gave me no Recommendation. This is from the Shockworks site.

This is what they Reccomend
Light recommendations:
Lights (for in the bumper):
- PIAA 510 4" Super White Driving Beam
- PIAA 510 4" Ion Crystal Fog Beam
Lights (for on top of the bumper):
- PIAA 520 6" 55W Driving Light
- PIAA 580 7" 85W Driving
I like the idea of the stud mounting... just drop it in line it up and sockit down... then watch for theives..

14.5 gallons for 178 miles is 12.27 MPG. 10-20 mins of idling is definitely hurting your FE. 1 minute is all it really needs on the coldest days. Above freezing or so...get in and drive it.
....And don't make this thread about FE! We have enough of those already! :frog:
