Big day today! New clutch (it's so smooth!!), timing belt, water pump, all new drive belts, and Royal purple in the MT, transfer, and diffs (but we couldn't get the front diff plug out, some gorilla must've put it on... we'll get that one with the oil change).

Oh yeah, just got my sliders today, that's for this weekend!:guitar2:

Did a few things today (and the last few weeks)




1. Cleaned my K&N Cold Air Intake and installed official dust shield.

2. Mounted my Nexus 7 tablet

3. Installed custom wood dual bike mount in the rear cargo area.

4. Took my component front speakers apart and adjusted my Kappa tweeter mounts. These custom mounts consist 100% of tape and IMO are easy to create. Still, I have seen multiple threads where individuals mounted their component tweeters by cutting through the OEM plastic. No need to do that just install as shown in the pics below.

Today we did the endcap mod so that i could finally install the 10k syn. engo winch thats been sitting in my living room mocking me for the last month. mounted the solenoid box in the engine bay with a wireless remote module in it. so stoked

That light bar looks awesome but is it possible to put it inside the grill behind the mesh?
You could prob add the Toyota logo and have room to allow the light to shine below but be hidden . maybe not what your going for ...

I probably could have, I would've needed to make some sort of bracket for it to mount on. It's deceivingly thick, it takes up a lot of real estate on that bumper. I have a TRD emblem that is going on, just waiting for it to show up. It's supposed to be here by Friday.

Almost crashed it. Stop and go traffic and I couldn't stop in time. I was sliding and managed to change lanes missing the jeep in front of me by less than a foot.

I'm pretty sure my front sway bar saved my life (at a minimum my trucks front end) because without it the truck would have handled completely different during a 100% brake + swerve event.

I highly recommend leaving the sway bar connected by getting some extended sway bar end links from StickFigure (or elsewhere).

Definitely leave it in on road. Remove it when you go off-road, only takes 10 minutes at the most. I remove the end-links and leave the bar in place.

Agreed. I think now that I have extended links I will just leave it connected all the time. I've been to Anza-B and Big Bear with my sway bar still connected and have had no issues.

Taco Billies all around and ToyTec Eibach coils up front. It rides soooo much better and sits fairly level. Wish I would have started with this setup, but live and learn, right?

I put amsoil in front and rear diffs transfer case and engine! I put a toyota oil filter from the 4.7L motor! That's was an exspensive day!

We can use the 4.7 filter? More capacity or what?

What axle is the trailgear SAS setup for specifically? Are you doing anything to the rear?

I am setting up the front end for a Dand 44 out of a waggy. The rear I am putting the matching 44 in.
