What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I just watched a youtube video of that area and it looks pretty cool. When I bought my 4runner I had plans to drive to telluride but life got in the way and the trip never happened. I still have the book I bought for the trip with maps of tons of mountain passes in Colorado which I open every once in a while and dream of what could have been. As impossible as it seems right now I haven't given up hope that I may still make the trip in the 4runner someday.

I was able to get a good deal from etrailer.com. They offer a price match plus 10% off the best price you can find. I found it cheaper at truckaddons.com. They honored the price pledge and I got I for $872. (Retail was $1079)

I'm waiting on some 2 gauge wire to come in so I can complete the wiring on the solenoid relocation. I really need to put all of this into a build thread.

Besides a winch cover and isolator Puck I'm good to go. Btw good luck with the game this weekend. Should be another nail biter.

I've been thinking I needed a couple of isolator mounts. Where are you sourcing those?

I probably still have atleast 4 weeks until my bumper is ready so I haven't looked anywhere besides trailgear.

I'm hoping LSU beats bama and auburn gets them in the iron bowl. I don't hate Alabama like a lot of auburn fans but they've been on top too much lately. I tend to pull for the under dog and we definitely fit in that category. But I'm hoping our offense will be clicking by November and our defense heals up to make it close.

Powered sub. Where do we ever go that we need a CB to call someone...we have no mountains around here, only privately run off-road parks. Unless you want to talk to the truckers and lot lizards on 37, you don't need the CB.

Spent most of the early afternoon draining, flushing, draining, flushing, draining and refilling the coolant with Toyota red. Who knows when the last time it was done with 212K on the clock now. I've owned this 3rd Gen a little over a year and the previous owner had some dirty green mixture in there.

And from one Bulldog (Butler) to another (UGA)... Go Dawgs!

My plan for the weekend was to do the same thing. Mine has the green stuff as well. But, FedEx brought me a parallelogram of a Denso radiator today. Try again!

Over the last 48 hours-

Took front end off pretty much except fenders
Fixed and found rattle sound that was getting worse,loose fan shroud.
Fixed headlight issue.
Fixed grill Issue, and put all new clips in to hold it in place properly.
Put front end back together
Cleaned undercarriage and degrease it
Took off all skids and cleaned them, Repainted also, re-install
Took off sway bar that was rubbing the E-Locker
Replace the tow hitch with the factory OEM one that I had laying around (Royal MF by the way, took 4 hours alone because the one installed by who ever was a F tard) He had flat bar to hold the bold in place in the frame. took forever to get that out of the frame of the 4Runner.
Rewired the trailer light wires also that were not correct on the hitch.
Cleaned up mess and took it out for a spin.
No more vibration or rattle sound. :humble:
Not bad for two days of working on the truck

Next to wash and wax it this weekend.

Two bucket wash. Cleaned inside all out and vacuumed it. Organized the back and all the stuff I carry.

OME 890s & Shocks, installed braided lines and urethane sway bar bushings in the rear. Tomorrow, rear brake pads, and then the front side fun begins...
