2 hour loop named Slaughterhouse Gulch. About 1 hour from Denver. Fair number of hunters camping right now.
I am so impressed with my 4R. It's a little off road beast. Push button wheeling. Yee haw.
Backing up to turn around was the sketchiest part for me:

how's the line-x holding up on your items?? did you get the extreme? or the UV protection???

Im in arizona but the moutains and forest look like areas north of me. Yeah the 4runner is a go anywhere off road beast. I am new to wheeling and got into a rock slide i went down it just fine but getting up tricky and my stock sr5 got up and out out of it. Im has the j shifter but i prefer not having all time 4wd and e locker would be nice though.
Did a little playing today. Hit butcher jones trail again just some on the main trail cruising.

j shifter? is this the transfer case lever I use to select between 2 wd, 4h and 4 low?
you have full time 4wd? no plain old 2wd mode?

Keep in mind the only off roading I do these days is on the beach but I do live in South Texas and my car is parked outdoors 24/7. If it can survive the UV beating here it should be good just about anywhere.

Finally leveled my truck out. She has been pretty pretty saggy on the driver side after lift for a long time. I installed the toytec 1/4 spacer in the front drivers left ome coil and spring. Also pulled my 7 wraps and added my stock bump stops which gave some more lift. The added the OME 10mm trim spacer in the rear left. I could not any more happy. It leveled it out almost perfect.

Before spacers: (measurement from bottom of rim to fender)

Front Left: 32 3/4"
Front Right: 33 1/2"
Rear Left: 34 1/2"
Rear Right: 34 3/4"

After Spacers:

Front Left: 34"
Front Right: 34"
Rear Left: 35 1/4"
Rear Right 35"

As you can see almost perfect. Truck is all around a little higher. The truck no longer pull when braking to the right. And I know I need another alignment. Cant believe how much the suspension was causing truck not to drive that great. So much better now.

I got my 02 tail lights but the sockets were too small.. so I busted out the dremel out and had some fun.. also, added amber light bulbs to it..

what kind of cost can i expect from line-x to do these types of things? did they remove those items from your truck or leave them on and spray it without removal?

Prices vary from shop to shop a bit, they charge more if they have to remove parts, spray and reinstall. I have had a lot of parts sprayed so let me know what you are interested in having done and I can give you a ballpark idea.

1" body lift requires slight mod to allow crank handle to fit through access hole and into spare tire pulley.

Nice! Forgot to mention last night that I slopped JB weld along the top of my rear diff cover because it developed a leak months ago. There was scaly rust all along the top of it (again, beach driving will ultimately be the death of this truck).

I also have pretty extensive frame rot at the inside edges of the rails in the gas tank and muffler areas. The upper and lower surfaces of the rails still look good so I'm not going to worry too much about it. I will probably only get another couple years at most out of this truck. I would like to see the odo hit 300K though. (220K now)

I drove my truck on the beach from 99 to 04 & I have less rust than most people. The trick is to take right to the car wash after the beach. Also run a lawn sprinkler underneath when you get home.
