This one's name is Crash. I bought it as a rollover from a guy across town. I tinkered with it this last weekend and finally got it started and running. Runs really well, and will soon go up for sale as a whole running vehicle (don't have time to part it out)

Swapped out the rims and tires with ol' Betty (my current rig), and swapped the air box with the deck plate mod and K&N filter onto my daughter's 97 (aka Sandy).

How did you mount that inverter?

I wanted to make sure this was where I wanted to mount it so I waited. Then I ended up just using some velcro to keep it somewhat secure, nothing fancy.

Even with the engine running it will be a lot of work to get the roof fixed enough so that you can put a windshield in it.

I'm sure you can get the engine running but driveable? Without a windshield that will be tough. Parting it out may still be the best option.

They are a set of Rocktek sliders for an FJ Cruiser. The length was perfect I just had to cut off one of the 4 legs since it landed right where the body mount was. The leg I had to cut off was one of the inner legs and didn't make a difference.

It does drive, took it around the block yesterday, but 'drivable' is a whole other level.

My buddy who is keeping it for me listed it on CL about a month back. Several inquiries from some people that wanted to either fix it (body shop guy) or use it for hunting (cut the top off and fab a windshield, or go without).

Interesting to say the least. I'll probably break even but got some good stuff off it, so trying to self fund my build. Have 1 kid at the university, and another heading there in 1.5 years.

Gotta do what I gotta do to build up ol' Betty...

16 5spokes with 265/75 Cooper Discoveries... so the 99 highlander coils really only do about 1"?

With all stock suspension on my '99 Limited (shocks and springs) the front is 20.5"/35" (ctr hub-to-top of wheel well/ground-to-top of wheel well), the back is 21"/35.5". This is with 265/70/16's. Your ctr hub-to-wheel well dimension should end up the same, but with 265/75's your ground-to-wheel well dim will be 1/2" or so higher.

Decided i wanted some cup holder lights, so strategically located some LED's and cut some slits into the plastic to allow light to shine through them, creating a halo type light around the circle. No glare when driving, and i can see where the cup is landing without the overhead light! sweet!

I am not sure if you are kidding or being serious but to clarify the hood scoops on our third gens are non-functional...cosmetic only.

Just got up, and put a optima red top battery in the truck with 1000CA instead of 650CA. O yea, lights look little brighter, idk must be doing something different, since last battery was nearly 5 years old. It was beginning to leak electrolyte through the top vent from all the off roaring so this was a great deal. Purchased it from my neighbor for $80

thanks for the insight..figure when i do pull the trigger on the 99' coils i may as well replace the shocks too..and maybe ill put a spacer kit on for just 1" more..not trying to go too crazy
