Past few days the 4runner is 306000 miles old and finally fixed my fender flare and it looks alot better and filled up the gas tank for $27 and getting 15-17 mpg so im happy.

I replaced a coil pack that was causing misfires on #5 and filled up the gas for the second time. Calculated to 20.4 mpg, but I drive a lot of highway miles and I do it at a mpg friendly speed.

Hoping it will get even better mpg now that it's not misfiring.

We've recently bought some property and moved to the country. My son is 14 and I'm trying to get the Runner ready for him to drive (he can start driving at 14 in Arkansas). We live on a dirt road, so the Runner will be perfect for him. Here is how it currently sits (recently added the Tundra rims and the LED bar).







Today we ordered the following:

-Toytec front coils
-Bilstein high adjustable 5100 front
-Toytec Superflex rear coils
-Fox 2.0 Performance Series IFP rear
-extended rear brake lines
-2 sets of 1.25 Spidertrax
-4 new 265/70/17 Goodyear Duratracs

Looking forward to installing the new items...and removing the running boards.

Well today was a good day until I went to the store came back to the 4runner and it was skipping .........great.... turns out its cylinder six I know it's gonna happen but man does it suck.....but it has lasted over 306000 so that's good.....go Toyota

mmmmm Elocker

Finally got the elocker wiring together. I was partially prewired so I was able to keep everything stock!:whoo: The only modification I had to do was to ground the blue wire from the ecu to enable the elocker to engage in 2wd (I only have 2wd :rain I am thinking about starting a build thread soon if anyone would is interested in more pictures.

Installed my new sport hood! I drove 5 hours and almost 700 miles to get it, but for $175 it was totally worth it. I averaged 21.1 mpg on the way there and back too. Pretty good for a 14 year old 4WD V6 truck with 164k miles on it. Thats 3 mpg higher then it is rated for!

Oil change day. 5.5 qts and filter.
Mounted a Hayden Tranny Cooler, will connect up after a tranny flush scheduled next week.
When I did a radiator coolant change there were signs of rust, not bad but there just the same, so I want to avoid the "pink milkshake". New radiator install in the near future.

Got a sport hood too, from [MENTION=102813]SURF RUNNER[/MENTION]. I'm currently residing in Seattle, but am going to be in Texas at the end of February. 4runner won't be in Texas until after November, but this will be waiting for me until then:

It'll need some work, but for the price I think it's very much worth it :bounce:

Added real leather inserts and wrapped the door panel arm rests in real leather as well to match the center arm rest.

Back in black and detailing it today.

I love a clean black 4Runner, especially a sport edition 4WD.

I see your Supra out by the road too. I'm pretty sure I recognize your screen name from Supramania as well. I'm on there as "Silver MK3". Good to see another 4Runner/Supra owner!

I don't think it was too hard. You would need strong high temp adhesive and a staple gun. Once you peel off the old fabric you can see how it's put on. You have to cut little slits around the edges and pull tight so that there aren't weird creases and then staple it down. It probably still won't be perfect though.

The inserts are just fabric. You peel off the old and lay it on your fabric of choice and trace it. Then you cut it out, put adhesive on the fabric and door panel, then try to line it up, and then lay it down.
