Finally replaced and painted this rear step pad. My rear bumper is matte black and the sunbaked grey and scratches on it looked awful.

The rear goes pretty quickly. Jack it up as high as your jackstands will allow, unbolt the lower shock mounts and sway bar links, and they'll come out without using the jaws of death (spring compressor).

On the front, I replaced the whole strut/spring assembly, so that went quickly too, but if you're keeping the original strut it's going to take longer. Using the spring compressor on those is a pain in the ass. The top bolt on mine was rusted pretty badly, so I ended up replacing it all. :ybrick:

Finally replace valve cover gaskets that have been leaking since I bought the truck. Valves were surprisingly clean considering I bought it w/ 215K on the clock and no maintenance records. Boring, tough job but it had to done.

Doesn't sound terrible at all. I'll be replacing the front strut from a 99 with the spring on it already then the rears will be just the springs so it'll be easier!

After letting my Runner sit for a month, I finally broke down and hauled it to work to do the starter contacts. After a quick $20 part replacement, she is back on the road!

got aircabinguys complete water pump/timing belt kit with all the OE stuff put on, and OME 880/906 springs with OME 60073 rear shocks and Monroe OEM replacement struts...big shout to JayRolla for helping me out....but she is coming along slowly

Ordered some Wet Okole front seat covers. Rear seats stay folded down 99% of the time so not really worried about matching them.

- Driveway oil change with Mobil 1 5W-30 full synth
- Replaced oil filter with Mobil 1 (P/N) M1-102
- Replaced wiper blades with Rain-X Latitude 17" blades ($10 off when you buy a pair @ Advance right now)
- Filled wiper fluid reservoir with genric blue stuff (cold weather)

Got rid of all the non-oem parts in my front-end.
OEM Upper Ball joints
OEM Inner tie-rod ends
OEM Top plate spacers on Einbach/Bils set-up.
Lowered the Bils to the first perch

What a difference. Truck is tight and responsive again.

Oh - and added a Hilux 167 snorkel. Already the most talked about piece on my truck. First question from a friend "Why do you have a para-scope on your truck?"

yes, I am thinking of doing the toytec 1/2" spacer up front to bring the setup almost level...dont have those measurements just yet but I will get them...ground to wheel well im at just over 37" in the rear and just over 36" FPside just under 36" FDside even with the tp14 toytec spacer in there

toytec coils on tundra billys 2nd perch.rear ome 890 coils with billsteins. and I even washed her. and got a alignment..


thought 265/75 tires would look to small but doesnt look bad at all
