Besides greatly improved steering, the next best thing about replacing your steering rack bushings—is that everything else you do on your truck seems pretty easy and straightforward...

For real. I was reading that other people asked shops to swap out the bushings and they replied that it was easier just to replace the entire rack an refused to do the job. Now I know why. The steering feels awesome now but I'm never doing that again.

Hahaha...it gets easier each time (3 so far...) and guarantee it's easier than replacing a rack any day. From experience can say (at least w/lift and bigger tires) putting poly bushings in new rack before installing is a good idea. Unfortunately have learned that the hard way....well, maybe the next rack (nooooooo).

Got a low profile roof rack built and put on. I was thinking orange would break up all the black.... but not sure if I like it. I think I'll pull it and repaint it black.

If you don't want it all black, you should paint the roof rack silver to match your flares/cladding. I think that would look really sharp.

I think it was at two different pressures? Looks like you got a 6% increase on average which isn't bad. When I did my 3VZ-E injectors mine was pushing 15% since they were old. Just compared the Section A and Section B numbers and it makes more sense. Looks like the tech knew what he was doing though, he put the richest injectors in the center of the engine.

We were wondering why he told us to put the injectors in the order he did. Why do richer injectors go into the middle cylinders?

Sound Deadener Installation

Next Project: Began my installation of the sound deadener and new carpet. Putting down the first two gallons of "SprayDead" followed by Fat Mat Rattle Trap xtreme 80ml. Hated to paint over that beautiful paint after 13 years. the inside looks brand new of a 2001. The joys of being the original owner.

We were wondering why he told us to put the injectors in the order he did. Why do richer injectors go into the middle cylinders?

The middle cylinders have more heat (being surrounded by the other cylinders) and benefit from the extra fuel for cooling with the richer fuel mix.

Installed a new sway bar link today. I was not to bad for a 4Runner with 270k miles and what looked to be what come on it. It had used off that the top mount. Installed and moog with a grease fitting lets just hope it hold up as well and the ones from the factory. Going to do the other ones this weekend when it comes in.

Not trying to pick or anything, but you should really have a jackstand under that side as well. Just because it is still on three wheels doesn't mean it can't fall to the side the wheel is not on...
