Finished the battery saga today.

G31M main with modified slee tray (CBI makes one now thanks to [MENTION=61765]hungwin jza80[/MENTION] efforts). Odyssy PC680 backup starter. Relocated cruise control unit. Blue Sea 7622 automantic charge controller w/ manual override and remote trigger join. AUX switch to join them to start. Batteries are monitored by 5mm gammatronix battery monitoring LEDs. Cable is wrapped in nylon jacket.

Changed the oil today.

Getting that stupid filter off never gets any easier. This is probably my 5th time changing it myself haha. Was able to get a huge channel lock pliers up there in the end.

What did you do to your 3rd gen today?

Dropped it off at my mechanic. Having him go through it with fresh fluids.
- transmission
- brakes
- power steering
- coolant
- rear dif
Oil was already done recently..
He said he's also going to check my plugs and wires for me (since I just bought this vehicle few months back and I'm not completely sure their condition).

So far I am 100% satisfied. I am very happy with the features and sound quality. I am glad I took Brian's advice and went with this unit (Alpine HD149BT). I like the bluetooth especially.

Put on some new Strong Arm rear door struts. Also decided to put on some of those deer whistles on, don't know if those things really work, but I've almost nailed two of them in the last week. :heh:

Might sound stupid, but how did you get the mic up there? I have mine on top of the steering column. That is a great unit, you will really like it!

Not a stupid question. I ran the cable behind the interior panel under the steering column, then up the A-piller, then between the headliner and the windshield. Took a little longer but I'm really happy with it, and the people I've talked to say it sounds clear.

Well, I've been busy with the T4R the last couple days. Painted sliders, got the lift on, alignment, 285 75 16 duratracs mounted on 80 series LC wheels (no spacers. They barely clear the 231mm tundra brakes). Oh, and hit 220k miles!

What lift are Ya usin? It looks really good! I'm leaning more towards the toytec eibachs in the front and lc 8 wraps in the back and hopefully it looks around level haha.

Did you have issues with the screws in the grip handle when removing the A pillar? I tried to remove mine earlier this week to install a BT mic where you put yours, but the screw heads stripped after much effort and I gave up and did a top-of-the-steering wheel install instead. I'm thinking they'll have to be drilled out if I ever want to remove them.

This is in a '02. Funny, because I removed the same screws in a '97 with no problems.

Not any real problems. They were really tight and started to strip. I think an impact driver world work well, but I didn't have to use mine. They had blue thread locker on them, and I didn't add any more. There really should be bolts there instead of screws

If I ever get mine off I will be replacing with bolts. I stopped before I completely stripped them out. Thanks. Maybe I'll try again when I have access to an impact.

Oil change today(Mobil 1 high mileage with some Lucas Oil additive), air filter change, think I found the clunk and squeak. There was a nut missing off the passenger sway bar end link, and the drivers side was spinning freely. Got a new nut, and tightened the other one down. Hopefully that stops the clunk and squeak. Noticed this today too, anybody elses sit slightly off? Now to figure that out too....

King coilovers and the land cruiser springs. Can't remember the color codes off the top of my head though.
