So what did you cut off? The bolt heads themselves?

If you had a torch, would you have heated the bolts instead? Or did you mean an OxyAcetylene Torch?

Oxyacetylene.

Yup I cut off what was left of the bolts. I did nick the flanges a little but not enough to cause any issues.

Definitely start soaking the 3 nuts at the manifold-to-cat flange. Mine were in good condition,I suppose with them being situated so high into the engine bay they don't get so effed up by the snow melt crap on the roads.

Put it back on the road and drove it for the first time since October!

I finally had a chance to check the gas mileage a couple of days ago and it was 20.71 mpg - not bad I think. I drove 45 miles at 70 mph with the A/C on, 45 miles at 70 mph with the A/C off, 30 miles at 60 mph with the A/C on, and 30 miles at 60 mph with the A/C off. Plus 7 miles of city driving making a total of 157 miles using 7.58 gallons.

About a month ago now I replaced the spark plugs and wires, plus cleaned the MAF and throttle body.

I also noted how much smoother the T4R is running at highway speeds with the new lower ball joints. Even though the originals were within spec, replacing them has removed the vibration I had at 65-70 mph and the truck seems a lot more solid and stable now. Even though I only have 93K miles, it is an 18 year old vehicle so I'd say replacing the LBJs was a good thing to do.

I also had to replace a broken torsion spring on the garage door .

Misc tweaks

Replaced the air filter, which was disgusting, with oem, replaced my burnt-out oem fog bulbs with (allegedly) yellow 55w Amazon cheapies; barely yellow but oh well. And installed a black leather stitch-on steering wheel cover I've been puting off for 2 weeks. Wanted to preserve the original leather cover (was starting to wear on the back sides). Took my time, and breaks, figuring out the stitching pattern I wanted and making sure it was secure at the ends, but I am really happy with how it turned out. Continuing the "black and tan" look I want. A cpl photos for comparison.

Swapped out one of my Piaa 510' bulbs. In keeping up with tradition I will change out the other one when it goes- Next week....
Straight forward but that metal nut inside made for an interesting time..

installed a transmission cooler.

Installed the B&M 70268 tranny cooler. Hope I made a good decision. Thing is I used fuel line. Instead of transmission hose. Kind of scared this was a bad move. Can anyone clarify if fuel hose is okay to use? Threw the pic in to grab people's attention

Nope. Trans hose has a higher pressure rating to handle the pressures and temperatures.

JB weld the seam and crack on my vapor canister. Used window silicon to fix a horrible leak in my sun roof. Cleaned off layer upon layer of mars mud AKA Sedona, AZ after a rain.
