took off the bumper in preparation of a new one:naughty:

Changed my oil and put in AMSOIL, my engine will thank me in 15,000 miles when I need to change it again.

Also got a shiny new Borla muffler in the mail that's going to be installed on Saturday, can't wait.

Carried out a major rehab on my center console.

First, a removed the piss-ugly, cloudy, loose plastic overlay, sanded the wood (YES, it's real wood under there) smooth, restained, and applied a few coats of MinWax Polyurethane:

Then I installed a BlueSeas USB plug in place of one of the cigar lighter plugs:

Then I installed a new Arkon tablet holder:

And here is the whole ensemble, with the smartphone on top providing a wi-fi hotspot to the Galaxy Tab Pro and a hardwire connection for tunes (and driving directions) from the tablet to the car stereo. Works great. Rocket Player for tunes and Waze for navigation play together nicely through the Alpine HU, amp, and speakers.

I got my new wheels and tires mounted yesterday. I'm super happy with the new look. New 2015 Trail Edition wheels, with a brand new set of 255/75/17 BFG KM Mud Terrain tires. I had to trim some very minor stuff to get these to fit stock. No rubbing now after trimming the mudflap and front flare. Thanks [MENTION=115276]Dirty Brigade[/MENTION] for selling me the wheels! If you ever want to go wheeling let me know, I'd like to hit some of the off road parks in the area sometime.

Installed rear lift yesterday - LC8's, Billies, bump stops, extended brake line & parking brake bracket.

Hopefully I can do the front tonight.

I broke my bumper mounts the other week so I've been rocking the no front bumper.
Replaced my lbjs with oem parts, diff drop, changed oil, and secured my battery better

Hit the junkyard and scored two new sun-visors in excellent shape (just need to get the blood or whatever it is off them), a working clock, a new passenger side air vent, a new "oh-shit" handle for the drivers side, a door ajar sensor "thingy"... and lastly a door lock guide. All for under $20

It was there and I figured I would take a chance with it. Mine just went out after 19 years and 374 thousand miles. So I figure this one out of a 2000 runner should last for a few more years.

I noticed that my old one appears to snap together, so I may do as you have and fix it.

LOL, yea I know. I got the suspension on the rear done & I ripped out the front end last night. Hopefully tonight I can start getting parts installed on the front...
shocks, springs, LBJ's, TRE & UCA's.

Went to get an alignment but the tech let me know I had a bad inner tierod, so i went home to replace it.

Got a few things checked off the list.

Replaced the front wheel bearings and seals. While I was at it I had the rear backing plate removed and I cut it, so it could be painted and re-installed. But now it's removable.

Installed my TC spindle gussets

And last, but not least, finally got the rear bump stops installed.

Did my first transmission drain and fill today. That had to have been the easiest maintenance job ever, other than the air filter. The plug is so easy to reach. Almost exactly 4 quarts came out. I replaced with Valvoline Synthetic.

I'll do another drain in a week or two.

My brother and I also took the wire wheel to the rust on the front skid plate since I had it off for my transmission cooler last week. I'm going to paint it black.

My new Denso O2 sensor arrived today. I plan on hitting the bolts with some WD-40 after my rig cools a bit, then hitting it in the morning.



Also, my special lady friend got me a R2-D2 double usb charger for the 4runner. I have mixed feelings about giving a cup holder up for rebel scum...
