What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

How is it attached? I'd think there is real risk of it coming loose when the engine gets hot. Even strong adhesive comes lose at 200+ F.

It is just on there with its own adhesive, from the various sites and how-to videos from people it looks like it should do ok.
Currently it is our summer here so I will keep an eye on it and see how it goes over the next months and years, but so far so good.

Keep in mind I am in the northern tip of the main island of Japan so our temps are on average cooler than Seattle for example.
This application may not work in all climates but from what I was able to find on it, I did not see it being a problem up here.

installed the cbi antenna mount. it's the same bracket as their ditch lights, but only one side.

Drove 3,844 miles over the past couple of weeks...

so I changed the oil. This year almost all the bushings both poly and rubber held up to the stress of being an overloaded off-roady on-roady suitcase.

Changed the steering rack bushings today. Much tighter and more responsive.

Need to get UCA and and LCA bushings done. 200k almost done, then almost time for TB/WP with all bearings and tensioner

Drove 4 hours (5 hour total time) with the wife to go pick up a New aftermarket no scoop primered black hood for $50 last night after work. Was a fun trip and the guy let me swap hoods at his house and he recycled my old one! No strapping to the roof!!!

So this is going to have to work till I find a good oem matching hood or whatever. So tired, no sleep.

My wife had rented a Rug Doctor so I decided it's time to clean the 4Runner. Clean every inch of carpet in there, even the arm rests. No more dog stains on the floor mats from the previous owner!!!

Much cleaner and smells nicer too.

I am pretty sure it is a fuel injector. Rough idle, P0304 CEL, and some power loss and I swapped plugs, wires and coil packs. Still have the CEL and it didn't switch cylinders when I swapped coil packs. I am in training for work for the next month so can't deal with it till after. Fuel injector is a little over my head so will probably bring it into a shop.

Replaced the 18 year old stock headlights with some Osram Night Breakers, I need darkness to test them on :bat:

Also replaced the CVs, yes, yes with non-OEM, but in my defense I am keeping the one good old one to re-boot.
