haha...thats my economical gas freindly small tire stomper, those were still the stock rims/tire size 235/75/15 goodyear wranglers I waited to see how everything would settle or if I even liked the set up before purchasing rims/tires
so that I could match a nice fit together with lift and tires.

CBI Sliders Installed
Big shout out to Mike and Dave at Trendsetters off of 82nd in Portland Oregon for doing a fantastic job on the sliders. Those guys do great work.
Have to admit I had a tear in my eye having those sliders welded on. I've babied my original stock showroom condition 4Runner from the day I picked up October 24, 2000 with only 12 miles. OK I'm over it...
The weld is like the period at the end of a sentence. It's permanent. No turning back now. Lot's of GREAT memories. Beginning of a new chapter in my 4Runner's life. Thanks for the inspiration from all of you on this site. You're all a great bunch of guys (and a few gals). One day I'll start a Build Thread with details so you can all see how it's morphed into what it is.

About a week and half but I do carry alot of tools for work everyday about 300 pounds that stay in the truck all week and pull them out for the weekend.
But I also added a couple hundred pounds of cinder blocks to settle them in quicker and also allowing me to see how the truck will handle with weight (passengers, future rear bumper,air compressor ) etc also helped to work out sqeaks noises from loose parts or bushings as well cause lots of times you dont hear those new sounds til your loaded down.
What is it that you will be installing for your lift?

Okay so l found out my 1996 4runner front sway bar bushings sucked ass. Ordered energy suspension 27mm kit front sway bar kit for my truck. They did not fit. Researched and others had same issue and ordered 26mm bushings.
When 26mm kit showed up the 26mm fit perfect. But tie rod end bushings where too big. Went back to me 27mm kit and found it's tie rod bushings where perfect. So using two kits I was able to complete my front sway bar poly bushings. Pain in the ass!!
Now I need to get poly LCA bushings and upgrade rear lower and upper control arms. After that all suspension will be completely rebuilt.

I finished my lift and installed the diff drop! :thumb:
About 3 inches all the way around. I'm hoping the front settles a little bit.
You should stretch your CV boots. The rubbing will kill em fast.
How does one stretch cv boots? I was at O'reilly the other day and I didn't see a boot stretcher in the rental section.

It was a busy Tuesday. So I started off, installing my Bud Built under armor (calling them skid plates, is silly. These things are serious!!). After that, I decided I need a hitch bar for my winch hook, instead of a measly strap that was going to get destroyed, and placed the winch cable into a bind point in the fairlead. And then, I figured the skid plate was a great place to put my trucks name. Rhino!

Took apart the nasty interior and got started on restoring it to decent condition. Took out all plastics and carpet and wiped down the inside, (especially the back due to wet dog smell) Then borrowed my dads Ozone Machine to kill the rest of the odor. 
doh: Tip take off the plastics nice and easy so you don't break off the brittle clips. :doh Power washed carpet with cleaner.

Swapped out some trailing arm bushings, the rear axle was loose and would lurch from side to side with acceleration/deceleration. Suspension is still crazily soft... now to figure out why (shocks? springs?).
