Replaced the starter motor. With the onset of cold weather, it was clicking and complaining before finally turning over. Toyota starter fun fact: it can be fixed by swearing, for at least two weeks, until you get a new one. Step one: turn key. Step 2: hear click. Step 3: swear a bunch. Step 4: Repeat step 1. It should start as normal.

Replaced the passenger side valve cover gasket on my 2000. Discovered a really hellacious gunk build up in there. Astonishingly bad.

At least the engine isn't leaking oil like sieve now. But I'm faced with the question of whether I should consider Seafoaming it. Gas tank or crank case. It's bad enough I'm seriously considering holding off until Spring so I won't have to pull my other ride out of mothballs.

After reading what [MENTION=84643]JBurt[/MENTION] posted I wouldn't put sea foam in the oil. Honestly I would run Rotella through a couple of oil changes. It has a great detergent in it. One of the posters from that link stated to remove sludge gradually. Rotella will do that and does not involve anything but oil.

Just finished up a 4wd swap! :bigok: It took a about 4.5 days due to replacing other parts as well.

I inherited the 4runner from my wife after my Taco got totaled and we upgraded to a nicer family car. It is nice to be back in the 4wd scene after almost 2 years.

Did a coolant flush and added Pentacool A1. Topped off battery with water, new bulbs in the sidemarkers. Vacuum, wash door jams and edges of windows. Sounds weird haha.

I took off my rear bumper and my hitch! I had some trouble with 2 of the bolts on the driver side for the hitch though. They were completely rusted to the nuts that were welded inside the frame... After trying to drill through the stud, I decided to drill through the tack welds and beat them with a maul till they broke. Needless to say I won. My CBI Rear Bumper came too!! :hungry: Install will be tomorrow!

Last weekend I installed my 2nd gen supercharger, new radiator, colder thermostat & plugs, new silicon hoses, NGK spark plug wires, URD S/C tensioner pulley, & timing belt/water pump kit from amazon.

Go for it! I put up 2 strands of LED lights, each powered by a 3-AA power pack tucked away in the kayak attachment. The reaction has been great; no pull-overs by cops 2 years running.

I once got pulled over for blue lights before, but it was probably 15 years ago. I was let go with a verbal warning, but he told me that it counted as impersonating an emergency vehicle. I thought it was silly considering how dim they were, but apparently red or blue was a big no no regardless.

I could see where all blue/red lights might get you in trouble. I haven't had any issues with multicolor though.
