What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Didn't get the HD, just regular strongarm. When I first put them on in may my wife could barely shut the hatch and it WOULD smack you in the face. Now, the gate is barely making my chin when opened. If I push it all the way up it holds though, which the factory ones wouldn't. May have just got a bad pair. I keep meaning to check the warrany

Were you raising it with the window down or up? Up mine works ok but if the window is down it will not stay up. Replaced with new, same results (I did get them from the salvage yard) but they were fine there.

Replaced the hard brake line and caliper on my friends 96.

Used a vacuum bleeder...those mofos are nice.

Added flush mount LED's to the rear bumper. Wired up the rear defrost switches for the from and rear lights. Need to paint the bumped silver.

never thought about that. They just sent me another set for $8 shipping. Don't even want the old ones back. I'll check when the new ones go on

How much should I pay for a set of four 2012 Toyota Tacoma Trd wheels and tires. They're in good shape with lots of tread life left. Tires are 245/75R16 Wild Country XTX.

T4R has provided a lot of info helping me decide to buy one plus with all the things I intend to do with it.

The 60" definitely better if you have space for it. With my droop in the rear I use a lot of the 48" even on flat ground, I just didn't want to haul the 60" around. The extra leverage of the 60" would be nice too. But, all in all I'm liking the 48" for my needs so far....

Got all my delayed items from the holidays installed;

New headlights, TPS sensor (OEM don't worry), swapped the harnesses on the t-case so both 4h and 4l work again, greased driveline, checked all fluids, flushed hydraulic clutch fluid, flushed power steering fluid.

Then 40 miles of woods/snow playing with the new tires. Good productive day for the truck.

Welcome to the group. I've had my 2000 for about one month now. Already swapped out a brush guard, changed diff fluids and ordered a short throw kit and new shift bushings today.

You'll find that this is kind of addicting, especially when you see some of the rigs on this forum.

Dropped the driveshaft off to be rebuilt. Hopefully that will solve my vibration issue while accelerating.

Well, new driveshaft is in and no more vibration.. Woo hoo.
