Lots of work.

Yesterday I started my timing belt and water pump project. I planned on replacing everything that was reasonable and a wear item including pulleys, gaskets, seals, belts, hoses, etc. My fan mounting bracket pulley was bad, as well as my timing tensioner pulley. I finally got the time to install the Big 3 upgrade from Marion Bumper 2 Bumper. Having the crank pulley off and the AC compressor helped with room. Here are some pics:

Made a bracket for my front anderson connector, checked the wiring between the rear hatch and body (no more new cracked/broken wires, only the same 4 I'd repaired before and they still look fine), finished wiring up the second aux fuse block so now there's one for each battery

and sat back and watched the hubby finish installing his Christmas present, a Sonoran Steel 1.2 rebuildable. The 99 is looking good....almost as good as my 96.

I blew the engine. Shitty I know..... Stupid headgasket leaked coolant into the oil pan. Now the bottom end chatters.....

Got my fuel filter replaced (248k on the OEM one), got my winch installed (been meaning to since September), and fixed the adjustment nut that kept breaking after my retrofit.

Also picked up a Warn Hawse fairlead for $20 off a guy on CL and paid $35 for a used BFG a/t with tons of tread left for a full sized spare. Turns out the guy I bought it from has 4 4runners (3 for his 3 daughters and 1 for himself) and a 1st gen Sequoia. Talked trucks with him for about 30 mins.

My power steering was getting really loud and felt heavy when cold outside. Sucked out the old fluid and replaced with Prestone Asian and it's back to normal - I love an easy fix.

Installed a Rhino Rack Pioneer rack. From opening the package to onto the truck was about 5 hours. Really quite at highway speeds. Personally, I like the quick disconnect feet. It will be awesome to store it during weeks when it's not needed.

My 265/75's were rubbing..

Moved my 5100s to the second notch, flattened pinch weld out, burst a brake line and got SS lines made for front and rear with my tundra brakes. Least it was at 3 am close to home.

New wiper blades. Dang salt all over everything. At least it should get up to the 50s this weekend so I can get it all washed off.

Installed new front turn signal lights, new air hose and clamps, I received my lower ball joints and new front bearings--just waiting for the upper ball joints to come in. About to install the upper bumper cover as well.

Should think about doing bushings while in there too. I just did all of what's pictured above (minus bearings) plus my lower a arm bushings, sway bar, steering rack, and upper a arm bushing ( haven't gotten to the uppers yet)

2 weekends ago - brief window of good weather and I got the rear suspension on. Rusty crusty (thanks, salt belt!) parts off:

I ran out of day and the next day was too nasty outside to work on the car, so it stayed like this for a week:

Now, all this lifting just makes the 32" Michelin AT2's look... small. 33" BFG KO2's coming in the spring.

Cleaned my throttle body, '99+ center console cup holder swap, '99+ headlights swap, '01-'02 tail lights swap (LED reverse lights as well), swapped out my 8.5 wraps with 890's, and got a new brake fluid cap because mine magically disappeared. Got all this done within the last 2 weeks

So who's rig is going west this summer?

There's been some talk of taking both. Gas has never been cheaper (adjusted for inflation, it's at an all time low). And it might be nice to have two vehicles with us in the UT back country desert. Vague plan is to do Canyonlands Maze and Needles again this year. It would also give us the opportunity to do some point to point stuff as well, and self shuttle. Either bikes or boots.
