What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Cleaned my throttle body, '99+ center console cup holder swap, '99+ headlights swap, '01-'02 tail lights swap (LED reverse lights as well), swapped out my 8.5 wraps with 890's, and got a new brake fluid cap because mine magically disappeared. Got all this done within the last 2 weeks

Did you just swap to a 99+ center console or did you do the radio surround as well?

I drove the Runner this morning and remembered I need to finish wiring the 99+ radio surround (rear window switch, rear defrost, etc) and I'm dreading it... :doh:

Should think about doing bushings while in there too. I just did all of what's pictured above (minus bearings) plus my lower a arm bushings, sway bar, steering rack, and upper a arm bushing ( haven't gotten to the uppers yet)

I have replaced the rack n pinion bushings already and I bought the sway bar bushings to do at the same time.

I just did the console and relocated the rear window switch, the ECT, and the toyota security to the left of the steering wheel

Learned to swap out an alternator (actually not that difficult at all and I'm really happy to have learned how) after the mud shorted it out.

Yeah I saw about 150 head of deer! They are starting to drop their antlers!

Installed some Polk db6501's. Woofer mounted into the factory panel with no mods.. I used the tweeter cup that came with speakers(the one w/o the lip), hot glued it in the factory tweeter panel and used a dremel to trim it to clear the door frame.

I'm heading down to San Diego for a couple weeks, leaving in a few hours, but if you aren't planning on installing it before then I'd be more then happy to help, or at least drink a few beers and watch...lol, but serious it would be good learning experience for my 1st gen SC install.

Was out at the salvage yard today looking for a headliner grab handle for the driver's compartment. Remembered what [MENTION=69868]LittleCaesar[/MENTION] had said about putting 4th gen wiper washer nozzles on his 3rd gen. No junked 4th gens in the yard, but also remembered a 2001 RAV4 being there from a previous visit. I ventured over there to see what kind of nozzles it had and 'what do ya know?' Perfect match but not with two jets per nozzle but THREE! These things are amazing. Also read that with a pin or paperclip stuck into the hole of the nozzles, they can be pointed to where the spray goes (I used a very small awl and WD-40). I had no idea that this could be done! Still have a little dialing in to do but what a comparison between the old 2-jet nozzles and the 3-jet nozzles. The best buy for a dollar that I've had in a while!!

You happen to know if these came from one with the cold package or just the standard? Parts diagrams differentiate between the two.

Not for a while. Probably around President's day weekend or later. Debating on whether or not to install larger injectors with a Walbro fuel pump. Also, searching for a good deal on Doug Thorley Headers. BJ's Offroad is going to add them to their website again this week. There's a few other "toppings" I need like the AEM F/IC-6. I'll keep you posted!! Finishing up my axles with the extended boots this week. Grrrrr

I bought a friend for my 98. Currently though it needs engine work and tires etc. but should come out nice when it's done. No photo yet... but the body is cleaner than my 98. Kinda jealous.

Took off the rear drums to replace the shoes I have been meaning to do for a while, and found it all black and wet and smelling like gear oil, so now I have to replace the seals and do the diff breather extension I guess.

AF Ratio sensor

Changed out the AF Ratio Sensor and cleared the CEL (P1135 code)
