Just came in from the garage. I got the hood, both fenders and drivers side doors wet sanded and ready for base coat, just the hatch, quarters and passenger doors left and she will be ready to blast this weekend!

Called AOR to check status of my bumper. Word is, they are getting the necessary parts for completion coming early next week with bumper to ship by the end of next week. Yippee!

I think he said that he had about 10 that were waiting on the parts that were coming next week. I ordered 03/11 if that gives you an idea, so we'll see.

I had to change the license plate bulbs. What a pain in the rump. The screws were so rusty and I could not get a grip on the screw heads ... They used to be phillips heads. After i was finished with them they were slotted heads and they came out with no problem... Thanks to my Dremmel tool and a little tiny cut off wheel.I just cut a slot in the head.

I'm messing around with some slightly chunkier, slightly adjustable anti roll bar drop links, that don't involve welding, as I think the welding last time shortened the ball joint life.

I just also ordered some OEM Toyota steering rack boots, and OEM Toyota front lower arms, and got a quote on genuine front wheel bearings.

I might swap out my Ebay rear control arms for the old stock ones this evening to see if they are what is throwing my alignment off :thumb:

New roof rack! Rola, found one in Amazon's warehouse deals for $100. Since these are known to have rust problems, I poured 1/2 a quart of motor oil into the tubes, drained, and applied liberal amounts of silicon. We'll see if that works.

Rack and front sway bar bushings

Replaced the bushings in my steering rack and front sway bar with urethane from Wheeler's. Big thanks to [MENTION=120071]mtbtim[/MENTION] and [MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION] for the DIY video they made.

Found a 'new' hood on the local CL! It's white to my silver, so I'll probably wrap it with 1080 sometime. Definitely in better shape than my old one with the rusted hole... The guy has a sweet Tacorunner that he's SASing after memorial day.

Also started laying out a cardboard template. I'm hoping next week to get some preliminary storage ideas going. Just mocking it up for now. Also put the bike rack on it. Fiance and I are going camping/biking/climbing tomorrow!

New member here and my first post... Just picked up a 2001 4Runner Sport in Imperial Jade Mica with 88k that was garage kept by the original owner and incredibly well taken care of. T-belt already serviced and body in excellent condition with very little rust anywhere underneath. Only things it had were a cold air intake and a touch screen in dash navigation system with bluetooth and an ipod cable for charging. It had a few common gremlins with the dead factory clock and dead power antenna. Front rotors were also warped which led me to upgrade right away to the 13WL 231mm Tundra front calipers with Brembo rotors and Toyota pads. I also added a B&M 70264 external trans cooler at the same time to protect the trans. The last thing mod for now was removing the factory running boards which I have listed on craigslist already(hit me up if anybody needs them). The truck has Michelin's on it already with lots of tread so it'll keep me from doing a suspension lift until it needs tires again. I've already put this forum to good use as there's so much good info on these trucks here it's scary. Down the road I'll look to lift it 2-3" and go with a bigger tire but it''ll be just fine for now. I'll only be using it sparingly to hunt and fish and tow my 16' aluminum boat. Look forward to posting updates as I go down the upgrade path here and I'll post better pics of the truck when I take them.

finished installing speakers in my front doors and topped it off with leather door panels. also went pickin to a new yard and came home with some goods. really clean fogs and headlights from a 2000 limited, beautiful tan leather interior and woodgrain trim.

Worked on my Roll Bar Options a bit today. Two new 5lbs Amerex Bottles mounted on my Roll Bar.

Just two little brackets 3" long to use original mounting holes in the Roll Bar.
