Worked on my Roll Bar Options a bit today. Two new 5lbs Amerex Bottles mounted on my Roll Bar.

Just two little brackets 3" long to use original mounting holes in the Roll Bar.

Do you have the bolt info for those? I need to utilize mine as well.

Installed urethane bushings on the rear sway bar (did steering rack and front sway bar yesterday) and gave her a much needed wash by hand.

New member here and my first post... Just picked up a 2001 4Runner Sport in Imperial Jade Mica with 88k that was garage kept by the original owner and incredibly well taken care of. T-belt already serviced and body in excellent condition with very little rust anywhere underneath. Only things it had were a cold air intake and a touch screen in dash navigation system with bluetooth and an ipod cable for charging. It had a few common gremlins with the dead factory clock and dead power antenna. Front rotors were also warped which led me to upgrade right away to the 13WL 231mm Tundra front calipers with Brembo rotors and Toyota pads. I also added a B&M 70264 external trans cooler at the same time to protect the trans. The last thing mod for now was removing the factory running boards which I have listed on craigslist already(hit me up if anybody needs them). The truck has Michelin's on it already with lots of tread so it'll keep me from doing a suspension lift until it needs tires again. I've already put this forum to good use as there's so much good info on these trucks here it's scary. Down the road I'll look to lift it 2-3" and go with a bigger tire but it''ll be just fine for now. I'll only be using it sparingly to hunt and fish and tow my 16' aluminum boat. Look forward to posting updates as I go down the upgrade path here and I'll post better pics of the truck when I take them.

Transferred the title to my name so I officially own it, and ended up just driving for a couple hours. Really surprised with how she rides for being old and lifted. Previous owner wanted to keep his roof rack, but I found one set out by they trash that I grabbed for free and installed. Also got a small air compressor taken off a truck a truck at work that will be mounted somewhere eventually.

BTW, I have a set of factory running boards off a 1999 limited if anyone is interested.

I have had my skids off for a week or two and today I had some motivation, so I re-painted them before putting them back on in preparation for the first real trip of the season next week. Getting excited!

I also have been having issues with my passenger side headlight cutting out every now and again. I noticed that I could wiggle the connector at the ballast and it would come on, so I was confident it was a connection issue. I cut the plug off and soldered it instead and the issue seems to be gone.

@ Amalik , No it's actually just paint. Back in my import tuning days some powder coaters were sand blasting the whole covers without protecting the bottoms and it cause issues with the sand falling out after heating up, so when it comes to valve covers, I have decided to not get them powdercoated and to just use paint. They did end up pretty clean and I tested the coating with a heat gun, it held up.

Just a note.. the VHT flat red is - ORANGE... lol don't use it , I learned the hard way.

Talk to the person who powdercoated the wheels and they should be able to point you to a rattle can version of it.

My powdercoater gives you a can for touch ups. I think they're fairly expensive at like $15/can.

My local automotive paint supplier can mix up a can of custom matched spray paint. They use a scanning machine thing that scans your paint and tells them what to mix up to match it perfectly.
I think any automotive paint supplier can do this, not just the one I go to.
For anyone reading this in the Bay Area, San Leandro Color is the place to go.

2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma front shock and strut assembly and rear shock assembly. The front springs, front shocks, and rear shocks have 14,000 miles of total use. All the parts are in great mechanical condition ready for install. Parts came off of a 2015 Toyota Tacoma. Asking $175.00 OBO
