What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

My wife's 96 once had an issue where the state mandated annual inspection code reader device couldn't connect via the OBD2 port.

Long story short, after puzzling over a wiring diagram for a while and futzing around with a multimeter, it turned out that one of the wires that should have been grounded wasn't. I grounded it (externally) and the port was back in action.

No other signs of electrical issues in the car, just that ungrounded wire on the OBD2 port.

My front end is coming along nicely, just need a few more pieces up front. Then I'm working on the rear.

I don't know about the Rug Dr, but there is another way. I forget who it was, but they had grey cloth sports seats and pulled them out of the truck, then hit them with low-pressure pressure washer and I think scrubbed them with a mild cleaner and brush. Then let them dry out in the sun for a day or two until dry.

If I recall, they turned out like new.

I rented Rug Doctor from Hope Depot a few weeks ago. It did an awesome jog cleaning the carpet and seats. Super easy to use. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed.

I used my own version of a rug doctor for the carpets and headliner because I didn't feel like taking them out. It worked well it took out all of the fricken coffee stains by the driver's seat. I took the seats out and shampooed them and also used a pressure washer with a 25* nozzle to hose them down.

Thanks! I actually used "Tuff Stuff", a scrub brush, and a towel to clean them up. Worked well on the headrests and seats, but the floor carpets still have some heavy stains.

realized that 5th gen wheels sell for sub $200 prices on craigslist. picking up a set today to go with a set of deegan 38 315/70/17 tires i scored from a local offroading buddy. any tips on where to take these things to get them mounted/balanced would be much appreciated!

Hopefully I dont have to use the sawzall/grinder too much since i have aftermarket UCAs and a 1" body lift.
