Finally fixed my seat side bezel! What is up with these things?!

Thanks for your interest! This was a very easy project.
The ramp is 69x45. weighs about 30lbs. I took off the t4r factory bars and and put on my yakima bars from my 80.
instead of buying new mounts i made some mounts myself for the factory rails to attach the yakima bars.
so it sits a few inches lower than it normally would.
I mounted it as far back as possible and it only hangs over the sunroof about 5 inches.

This is what I bought, 1500 lb. Capacity Tri-Fold Aluminum Loading Ramp

Looks like this out of the box. First off, i drilled out the rivets holding in the tailgate bars and removed the little safety chains.

Second- using rivets, i added plates to beef it up and take out any flex.

third- I cut a 8ft piece of aluminum in half to go across the front and back, just for cosmetic reasons.
but for an extra $15 this really gives it a clean look and makes it hard to notice that it is in fact a re-purposed ramp.

finally, painting. took me forever but well worth it.

only thing i would do different would be to remove the hinges. they're unnecessary. you dont really notice them but it bugs me. next time i have it off, ill be removing the hinges.

LOL. That my friend is a triple stick set-up from RADesigns basically it allows you to run dual transfer cases without cutting your floor. It will all come up in the stock location and look factory. It is a super sweet product you should check them out.

Been lurking for a while but this is my first post here

Picked up this one-owner 01 with 150k a few weeks ago. i haven't had much time to do much but i've managed to dip the old fading factory rims until i can find some
newer ones on cl. along with taking the granny steps off. i've been looking at racks like the gobi and baja but i also saw where people were making them out of atv ramps.
this past weekend harbor freight had a sale and i picked one up for $75. with a few trips to home depot i made a pretty decent rack for under $200.

Took a longgg time to accomplish this but it was worth the decrease of like..2.75" overall height. I can now fit in my garage if I flip my reverse lights down, something I never thought I'd be able to do with the cargo basket on.

Had some rhino rack low profile mounting feet and cross bars from my old truck. Lost the flat washernut things that slide in to the track, but the factory track washernut things threaded on to the Rhinorack screws perfectly. Got some heavy duty channel strut and cut it easily with a jig saw and metal blade and went to town.

A combination of u-bolts, the factory Rage Stingray mounting brackets used incorrectly, and some cussing were all I needed. The front (directly above the sunroof) wanted to sag and I was worried I'd end up shattering my sunroof glass if I had anything in the front of the basket or went offroad, so I reinforced that area heavily and there's like... zero deflection. So happy that I can pull in and do work in my garage now without lifting off 100something lbs of steel and solar panel.

Shoot I might have to put my running boards back on after seeing that. Better than a blank space where the fender trim doesn't go all the way down (and since the little part to fill that gap has been unavailable for years). Truck looks great

Thanks man! It's always nice to hear folks say it looks good when so much time has gone into it. We are happy with it so far, it's been a joy to drive! I see your signature says you've got a 16 outback? We are going to be in the market for one later this year to replace my wife's protege5.

That's old school Toyota emblem is my favorite of all the ones they have had. I am keeping my eyes out to pick one up when they become available.

Finished cleaning head gasket off one side of the block. Put the oil pump in the parts washer to soak overnight. Bought baking soda to blast away on the block and heads next week.

After two full days, 4 trips to the parts store, busted knuckles, and more curse words and beer than I'd like to admit, just finished the timing belt, water pump, belts, pulleys, coolant change, and oil change. It was an ENORMOUS frustration most of the time but I'm proud I did it and saved myself 500 bucks!

Plus I discovered it was the original belt and water pump at 177K. The WP was leaking like crazy!

Replaced all the brakes lines under drivers door and back on my 97 bc the line broke next to the gas tank. Pain in the ass but at least I can drive it now. Waiting on a lift in the mail and gotta find my coolant leak
