Replaced all the brakes lines under drivers door and back on my 97 bc the line broke next to the gas tank. Pain in the ass but at least I can drive it now. Waiting on a lift in the mail and gotta find my coolant leak

added a 1 inch body lift to prevent some body rub i was getting. seems to have solved the problem!

looks like your rear diff is leaking not a coolant leak. how bad was the before jeez. I thought My car was bad.

5th gen wheels on my 3rd Gen!
They had a 5th gen he put TRD wheels on but I love the look of these wheels on my truck. 275 for the wheels for on Craigslist legit toyota wheels. Really clean no curb rash.

painted my wheels bronze last weekend. But today, ordered new OEM LBJ's (150k miles on the current ones... borrowed time), then went out and test fitted the 33's. Definitely needs some pinch weld massaging!

changed my differential oil and picked up some sticks of 3/16" guage 3/4" square tubing. going to use it to make some rear storage/drawers and sleeping platform. should be stronger and lighter than wood, plus i suck at wood work.

also met the extremely attractive girl who works the parts counter at the local toyota dealership, so it looks like ill be buying many more parts soon

It all started with stopping in at the car stereo place to see if I could get a replacement clicker for the aftermarket alarm that was in my truck when I bought it. Turned out it was of a type no longer manufactured so no new clicker for me. A new alarm setup then - I can justify it - the driver's side door lock is nearly worn out from turning the key so many times. The new alarm and clicker setup won't cost much more than fixing the lock...

So I am waiting for the installation to be completed and I start looking at the stereos. Just looking of course - the stock unit sounds just fine to me and I like the fact no one is likely to steal it. I like that it's simple too - not a lot of buttons, no menus, etc.

But the phone - I really need the hands free phone. I can even write it off I need it so bad, and Bluetooth would sure be nice. I can use my headset for the phone but for Bluetooth music I really need a new stereo. Need - that's it - need.

Next thing you know I have this:



I've just started programming it and it's going to take a while but I like it so far. The readout is kind of hard to see in daylight (why is this stereo mounted so low?), but I knew that when I got it. I looked at the double-din version and decided it was way too obvious to thieves and I want the space below for a Scangauge.

Good choice on the Kenwood Excelon!! I have one in my Civic and its great! The interface is A LOT more complicated than the stock unit but it does so much. Your right about the screen. With glare you can't read it. Fustrating but it such a nice radio. Also all the extra pre-outs for possible future amps and subs.

Have you tried eBay for a remote clicker? My truck has an Code Alarm remote that I found new to replace the old one.

Went to stereo stereo store myself. Old one did not work for squat. Well driving home had a rattle so I push on radio plastic surround and pop. Guy had broken 2 tabs on surround and it popped out almost an inch. Went back and they are going to supposedly order new one. See how this goes now. Stopped and picked up some oil and changed transfer case oil for therapy.

This evening I managed to get the diff armor fitted to the e locker rear end that is going under the 2001 4Runner. I also put in the flare fitting for the diff breather relocation. Tomorrow afternoon I am planning to put on new drum brake pads. Then this axle will be ready to go under the 4Runner finally. In the pic it shows the "test strikes" from the mini sledge after welding and before final paint.
