I finally installed the e-locker rear axle in my '01 4Runner. Now I just have to find time to swap out the front clamshell and I will be back in business again.

Finished my ham radio install by mounting the detached face to the dash. I also added a speaker under the headrest so I can hear whats going on easier. Ran the wire through the fabric to under the seat where the radio is mounted.

Changed front/rear diff, and transfer case fluid.
Installed M Studt's end links and a Gobi rear roof rack.
Just finished up the CS-144 alternator upgrade.

Tomorrow will be concentrating on nothing but drinking beer!

Mounted up my TredPro traction mats that finally arrived, re spooled the winch with spectra rope and flushed my Power Steering fluid.

I fixed the biotch! I was about to get a third vehicle for towing because no power in the mountains, loaded or unloaded actually.

Considered:

• Going back to 265/75/16
• Regearing
• Supercharging

Did damn near every preventative/routine maintenance item on this since I've owned, cept for one thing...

FUEL FILTER

Didn't even notice that my problem was solved when I took it for a test drive in the city. Idled smoother, sounded better.. but once I hit the interstate - with trailer... runs better than it EVER has.

Gas mileage looking to be the same towing as I've been getting for years unloaded based on this weekend trip. Acceleration with the trailer on flat land is the same now as it was unloaded. :rofl:

Downshifts when it should, doesn't sound like marbles in the motor under load, and transmission stays cooler as well thanks to appropriate shifting.

What a relief. Years of suffering come to an end!

Couldn't find a valve spring compressor for overhead cams, built one out of handle bar risers and odds and ends. Heads are together and torqued down.

Replaced transfer case front oil seal and did the transfer case and rear-diff oils.

Almost done with all my maintenance!

[MENTION=101600]hour[/MENTION] i had a fuel filter problem on an old mazda turbo 5spd 626. It would cut out, fall flat on its face hard enough to take your wind out when accelerating hard. I always thought it was electrical until i replaced the entire spark system and was still baffled. Glad you got your mojo back.

Gotta change my fuel filter too.

Tightened a/c belt, and found some loose bolts on my skid plate up front. Hopefully that stops the rattle I was getting at idle, and the squealing I was getting when the a/c kicked in. Also deleted the running boards

What intake tube is that, does it connect to the stock airbox and is it easier to install/remove than the stock 3gen tube?

It's a hacked up OEM Intake I made up. All the rubber pieces are OEM, I made the tube part out of exhaust tubing, and bought some stainless steel hose clamps to put it all together.

I also did the deckplate mod on the stock airbox.... gives me a Cold Air Intake without the cost.

Snorkel Bling from YotaTeq!

Haven't got the courage to cut a big hole yet but did add some YotaTeq bling to get me a little closer! Frank is great guy to order from...class act.

FYI this is the Amazon purchased Hilux 167 snorkel...coated in Line-X Premium!

The paint is mostly good.. but starting to show it's age with road rash on the hood, and on the side. The clear coat is starting to peal on the roof... I'll post some pics up tomorrow on my build thread, to show you guys what I mean.

As for the Saturn.... no idea.... haven't really gotten into it yet. Mainly working on the cosmetic stuff, and dealing with a CEL for a Evap Purge Valve, I'm going to be changing out.
