was running rough this morning and CEL light came on, P0302, got some new plugs seems to be running better

i'll take it for a drive tonight and see how it is once warmed up

going to order some new plug wires right now

Thats what I did.... very easy to do.. just wish i had the proper wrench to tighten up the nut instead of the "hammer chisel" method.

Glad you're OK. Hopefully this will encourage others that are holding off on changing their LBJ's to move this up to the #1 spot on their priority list.

I'm sure you've already done your homework, but just in case you haven't, only replace with OEM. Period. Seems ironic I know...

Yea I should practice what I preach. Every new person that would ask about mods I always told them #1 thing is oem ball joints. And my dumbass never did them. Always though meh it won't happen to me. And now I need brake lines upper and lower ball joints, cv axle, ripped my limited flare, dented my fender and put a gash in my tire. If anyone is holding off on this do it now, you are not special, okay off my soapbox lol

Well crap. I'm glad you're okay. I always wonder if this only happens to people who lift and wheel their 4runners, or if we only hear about it from people on the forum (who also happen to lift and wheel their 4runners).

While everything is apart it might be a good idea to weld in some spindle gussets. Another cheap insurance item.

Hit me up if you want help fixing anything. I've got the same jack!

Thanks jeff! I'm going to call rogers n see if they have the parts. If its too much I might have to wait till Monday n order from camelback. The oem lowers are $90 each. At autozone the duralast ones are $130 :-o

Today I got a sweet new kenwood head unit with Bluetooth and installed it, went with a single din and added a pocket underneath for some storage for and now possible slot for ham radio in the future. Also did the blue wire mod, worked without a hitch.

How did you weave it? Been wanting to do my shifter and just don't know how to weave it and have it stay put.

I started it with just a simple overhand knot.

I pretty much just continued around the rest of the wheel tying overhand knots. When I got to the end I used the blade attachment on my sonlering iron to cut the excess and melt the ends down.

I did the undercoat on our 12yard dump bed and frame this summer. Nasty clouds of rustdust, followed by Ospho rust treatment , Zinc oxide primer, and bedliner. Holding up well but, just looking for input.

I applied used motor oil through a paint spray gun from my air compressor. Very easy process. Took me no more than 20 minutes. I spray everything, but I try to avoid spraying the brakes and exhaust. I've seen POR-15 used and it doesnt look good to me and usually starts chipping off within a year (from what I've seen).
