Did you do all 4 or just 2? That was a pain in the but but very very worth it.
I only had a pair of bushings so I ended up just doing the upper pair on the shifter mount. I really didn't feel like crawling under to unbolt the linkage, and didn't have enough bushings even if I did. I observed a lot of play in the next link so they are obviously shot there too.
It tightened up 1000x better than it was- not loose at all and it engages the P sensor every time now. I'm not sure I need to do those??

Replaced my steering rack bushings with Wheeler's kit. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. Just all those first-timer-what-socket-or-tool do-I-need delays.

Got in the 4Runner today and didn't hear the familiar sound of water running down the sunroof drains after a hard rain. But I did get a wet lap! Pulled the external and internal wind deflectors and cleaned out the area of all the gunk (I park under a very old, big Red Bud tree).
And I have to say the sunroof is worth every bit of hassle it occasionally creates. I know some prefer not, but I love it! Debating whether to reinstall the external wind deflector...

looking at ordering a set of skid plates... RCI has a front/transmission/Tcase option. other companies only seem to offer a front/transmission. what gives? is the Tcase one not really needed? do the other companies designs just go back farther? not sure which ones to go with

Funny you mentioned that. I just got back from an alignment. I'm surprised that just fixing the rack bushings can throw off the alignment a bit.
