Got that rear axle seal taken care of. The guy who did the work is also my alignment guy. So while it was there I had him move the Taco Billies up to perch 2. I also had him move the caster forward with my SPC arms. He got everything but driver side caster in spec and it's not off by enough to worry about. This gained me about 1/2 of clearance off the rear of the fender well. I hoped doing this would take care of the rubbing issues.

So I went for a drive. Rub it fall compression and full lock is finally gone.

Ordered whiteline LCA bushings. When I did my drivers side lean spacer cure, I noticed the drivers side LCA was sagging under the weight of the spindle assembly and I didn't even need to push it down with the bottle jack. Shortly after, seems the bushings have signed off.

So tonight will be disassembly, bottle jack, torch, an some herbal assistance so
i can clean and powdercoat them tomorrow for shits and giggles.

Installed a Wheelskins leather steering wheel cover. Mine was already leather, but age and sun had done a number on the top edge, and while chunks of leather hadn't fallen out yet, it seemed like it was getting close. So I decided to cover it up before there were missing chunks to cover up.

20 - 30 minutes of stitchery, done. Nice and snug, brand new black leather. Fit isn't perfect around the spokes, but if you work at it it's not bad.

Yelled at it, kicked it and got super mad that my #1 cylinder injector failed. I have been tapping on it to revive it for a few weeks. Finally died.

I love how 6 injectors are $900 for oem. Fun stuff.

Junkyard. Put one in to replace the failed one. Send the other 6 out to be rebuilt. It's usually about 20 bucks a piece. That's cleaning, new seals and pressure testing. Then you'll have some spares to sell or just hold on to.

Already have 6 rebuilt OEM's coming I got for $60 shipped. I will swap out the 3 on the passenger side for now since I dont need to remove intake manifold and keep the other three installed since they are functioning.

No way I will pay that much for injectors. My 1200cc injectors where half that price that are in my Talon.

I replaced spark plugs, Wires and ignition coils due to engine shaking. Looks like its going to be the #3 fuel injector. The shaking/misfire occurred after an oil change.

Any reason why you didn't just replace the bearings in the third member ? Also good way to check for bad diff bearings is to have the car in the air and it drive.

From the information I gathered this was the easiest and quickest way to fix the problem. I looked at simply replacing the third member and was amazed at how much it cost. I found 3rd members for anywhere between $400 and $600. I was also told I could have it rebuilt but this option required shipping it off and not having an operation vehicle until it returned repaired. And lastly I was looking at just doing the bearing. It seemed that this required disassembling the rear axle, messing with the axle shafts and axle seals. From my understanding of the project it seemed it required specialty tools and experience that I just didnt feel comfortable with. The axle swap was pretty straight forward and a good time to get into updating the rear suspension as well. When we were tracking down the problem we did put the vehicle in the air and ran it. Definitely seemed to be the pinion bearing. Again I am not an experienced mechanic so I was going with research I found on the forum and advice from friends that are more mechanically inclined. Whole job was less than $300 including rear coils and shocks and new drum brakes. Everything works well now. Is there an easier way? Any advice if something similar happens again would be appreciated. Thanks

Trying to buy brakes to upgrade my TBU from the 190 to 230 calipers. No one on Amazon will ship to Alaska (seems more and more won't even try). Tried outside Amazon and sites are wanting anything from $170 to $340 just in shipping. Getting so hard to do anything anymore.....

Kind of running out of options. If I get them from the local parts store they fail in two years, on a regular basis. I talk to them about it and they think that's normal. Even with life time replacement, it's not acceptable.

Damn Dude, you've got a good memory! LOL I am! That's a great idea, but I need them sooner then that. I have both calipers hanging up right now pulling my rig all over the place. I've got another guy who's offered to help. It'll cost me, but I don't know of any other way, but I'll get them sent to his place and then he'll send them to me. We're guessing worse case will be another $120 because it's close to 77lbs total weight.

One other option just dawned on me.... Lynden Transport. I've only used them for large items, but ship to their lot in Fife Washington and they barge it up. The barge takes a week. Minimum charge for a pallet was $150, but I don't know what a "box" would be. I'll have to call them.

Bought a pressure washer for a steal at Home Depot today. Its a Ryobi, but itll do. 2700 PSI. Originally 280, got it for 140. Also got a foam cannon attachment too and a 45* angle tip to help with getting underneath. Also bought a grill emblem too, should be here next week. Guess I have a reason to finish my grill now. Whats everyones take on amber LEDs in the grill like a Raptor?

Tomorrow im redoing my bumper mounts to make it solid. Been on the backburner but when I built it, I just needed to get it on. If I have time im going to do the headlight hoops too.
