---------------

Also, updated the layout of my Torque Pro App. Wanted to monitor a few more things. O2 Sensors, Fuel Trim, and such... Now I just need to find out what I'm looking at when I'm looking at these readouts. There's more I want to add, but this is a good start.

Lux Lighting System rock/courtesy lights are AWESOME...wired to OTRATTW DPDT switch selectable for door trigger or "on." Installed in Brilliant style modded console. Really is a nice upgrade in terms of creature comforts. Kinda seems like these and the courtesy floor lights I previously installed always should have been there.

FWIW, anyone else adding switches to this location might consider lower profile and/or push button style switches as I do occasionally bump a switch with a water bottle. Rare now as I know to be careful but a slight annoyance.

Tacked up my home made roof rack. I did this on the roof and unfortunately I didn't protect the drivers side window, I thought it would miss it but flux splattered on it. It looked like it would just come off but it melted the glass!!! Great, now I have a bunch of drip melt marks on the window. Not sure what to do: put up with it, replace it or take it to a window repair shop and get them to fill them up like they do when you get a ding in your window.

Also was grinding the galvanizing off the conduit and went too far and took some paint off the roof... man I need to be more careful.

So when I got the 4 corners tacked up I took it off the car and continued welding on the driveway. I was burning through the conduit but I changed to .03" wire from .035" and that seemed to help.

It's coming along OK, tomorrow I'll weld up more cross pieces and grind them down nice and smooth. This flux core wire is really messy. Still need a few more cross pieces but metal supermarket isn't open this weekend.

I'd post photos but Photobucket is screwed up.

Sorry to hear about your rig.... that sucks. As for Photobucket, I'm another one that's left it and moved to Flickr. I just couldn't deal with it locking up my laptop all the time.

What did you do to your 3rd gen today?

Picked up a pair of 99 headlights. They put out way better lighting than the old 98s, also picked up some random interior parts.

Thanks man! Actually the window replacement is super simple, I'll just have to wait until one comes up at the junkyard. As for the scratch on the roof, it's only a half inch long, not too bad or noticeable so I'll touch it up. Gives it character...

I'm gonna get an argon bottle before welding up the rest of the roof rack, this flux core stuff is nasty.

Just got back from a quick run up Armstrong Canyon. It's one of the lesser traveled trails around here and true to form I saw no one else on trail. Pretty cool for 4th of July weekend.

It's about nine miles of dirt from where you start to where you end. The journey begins at 4000' and ends at about 8600' according to my GPS. It's a fun trail with no major hurdles until the very end. The last 1/4 mile or so has just enough technical wheeling to make the trail something I'd do again. It's also got one of the coolest campsites I've seen in the Sierra. You are in a large pine stand that is perfectly flat and it overlooks the Owens Valley.

I went up to check out a few "small" crags that you can see from 395. They ended up being about 700' tall. I'll be back towards the fall once it cools off to get some climbing done on the largest one.

Nice, and you actually took a few pictures this time.

Pinch weld delete = no joy.

Well I tried. I thought that I did a good job pounding the weld back after bending it towards engine like Unner, but even after using a heat gun to remold plastic wheel well liner, my 285s are still making contact. I did have to break a couple of those evil plastic retaining clips.but even still, when wheel is fully turned, it is making contact.

I have SPC Light Racing UCAs, so there is a chance to try to correct by finding a setting to push the wheels away from the firewall. I have not messed with those too much because I need to throw my winch (steel cable) on up front and see if I need to raise the coilovers up a bit, and I don't want to keep getting alignments to sort it out.

What am I missing

I still had contact with SPC arms and 881's upfront, with Tundra 5100's on the 4th perch. Finally got down to measuring for drivers lean, my rig is also a 3rz so 150 lbs lighter then stock 3.4 trucks. I had a 3/4-7/8" bias to the passenger side lean. Added a drivers spacer on the front strut and 10mm puck on the rear and my clearance is beautiful now.

Point being, how much are you lifted? I am probably 3.25" front and 3.5" rear now. Truck has a very slight rake and SPC arms set to neutral (0* setting) with plenty of clearance on BOTH sides now.
