Make sure the reclining latch on the truck side is compatible with your truck (rear seat backs).

Good point. I only focused on the front. Just measured and they are the same. Except the surf rears have 3 points of latching for them to lean back in 2 positions. I'll have to utilize that with the girlfriend.

So far one seat cleaned and it looks flawless. Super happy with the small differences. Plus the side bolster support will be great since I run no sway bars.

Installed a set of sport flares, and a T4R antenna mount. Also went over the front bumper, tow hitch and plastic rear bumper cover with bed liner.

Changed the oil and rotated the tires, which was a real pain as the LC80 rims I bought do not fit with the 231 tundra calipers. All the research I did say they would but I had to grind the rims to fit. Maybe I am special. My mom always said I was special but now I am beginning to think I misinterpreted.

Spent some time replacing the original radio in my 96. Just swapping radios improved the sound ten-fold.

Today I replaced my factory 1996 coil springs with a set of 2002 springs that I purchased from xxJAMxx

I attempted to change them out yesterday and things did not go well. I failed miserably and called it a night. This morning the weather was really nice with a cool breeze so I decided to try again after rethinking the problem. I used the stock jack, 2x 3ton jack stands, wheel chocks and 3 wheels on the ground at all times on a not so level driveway (dont tell tim), and I was never under the vehicle at any time.

Thanks to xxJAMxx, I no longer have the dreaded "sag" and the springs raised my vehicle 1 inch. I no longer bottom out on speed bumps or potholes. He even included the frame bump stops and a set of 3 inch spacers! Your old 2002 springs are now living de island life xxJAMxx.

I would also like to give credit to my future wife who showed up on my doorstep for a surprise visit to the island a couple of weeks ago without telling me. She saw that I ordered some springs and smuggled them in her luggage so I wouldn't have to pay import fees.

My original spring on the right and the replacements on the left.

The ride feels 100x better now.

Finally got around to replacing the rear LCA bushings with some Whitelines. While the rods were out I POR15ed the inside of the mounts.

This is how I ended up replacing my sunroof last week.

Hint: If you run the tube over a torch, you WILL loosen up what's inside, but you'll also make the tube easier to accidentally bend, may melt the plastic casing off the cable, may also burn your hand like I did.

I finally decided $150 from a local junk yard for a verified working unit was just fine to pay.

got the first side loose with mapp gas. 2nd side wont budge. new cable covers both sides and the block are 120. I think I am going to cut it off the remaining side and replace the covers

Performed a much needed Oil change. And discovered that after two days of some mild wheeling, I broke a swaybar link, and tore the passenger inner CV boot.

Bought 3 gallons of synthetic ATF for a flush once the trans cooler comes in tomorrow. Also picked up some semi-synthetic 75w90 for like 5 bucks a quart at walmart. Went to toyota to get gaskets for the diffs/transfer case. 12157-10010 the front fill and rear fill/drain is apparently a hot commodity right now due to newer trucks having a recall on something with their rear end. They had something like 300 on order and couldn't sell me any they had in stock, but due to the trouble gave me the rest for free. So now I get to wait for a 10 pack from ebay. After searching, found there's a kit for like 8 bucks on amazon that has all the gaskets needed for this job, so lesson learned- plan ahead.

All in all, bought a bunch of stuff and accomplished no actual maintenance.

Did happen to find a service manual for 3rd gens online, so that was neat

Fresh set of Duratracs in 265/75/16 C load to replace the previous set that was the exact same but E load. They ride buttery smooth compared to the older set.

Replaced the 17" FJC wheels with the FN (f)x Pro in Bronze on my Anthracite 98 SR5.

Tundra 5100 all around with Tundra TRD springs up front and OME 890s out back. Soon to be replaced with something of the Icon or King 2.5 variety.

I might be interested in your Tundra bits for the front if you're going to take them off. Shoot me a p.m. and we can further discuss. Thanks.
