I got my new roof rack mounted up. Still tons to do o it but at least it's functional for my trip to Cali next week. No wind noise on the freeway. And it's 4 feet wide!!! I think because it is so low profile. Eventually I'll add side bars along the edges. Right now things are mostly held together with Gorilla Tape.

Swapped axles on it last week and it all runs well, looks like this glorified sewing machine is ready for a big road trip!!!!

Oh yeah, gonna stop off in Oregon for the total eclipse of the heart!!!

Introducing the 4Camper!

Spent the last few weeks assembling camping gear to outfit my latest accessory - a sleeping deck with drawers.

Not shown, yet, is a foam mattress, 8X8 tailgate canopy for shade and a sitting area, along with all the various camping gear for fall trips.

Will also be adding USB charging, interior LED and exterior 120V lighting, a small heater/fan for cooler temps and custom fitted window screens for bug control.

I'm a few days late but I replaced my tired factory speakers with some Hertz dieci speakers on Monday! I'm pretty happy with it for my first in stall and choose the Hertz speakers because of their high sensitivity rating because I didn't want to add an amp and I added some sound deadening. The sound quality difference is night and day over stock, and the mid bass improved imensly!

Went ahead and took her on above test drive today. She has lots and lots of power and sound great! So happy she is running so we'll, I can't believe it!

We're going to go ahead and slap the race radio, roof mounted antenna, LED lightbar, on in the am.

Washed my 4runner yesterday and was sad to see a quarter size bubble near the bottom of the passenger rear door. I have a few spots that needed to get cleaned up and painted before winter to keep rust at Bay. I guess in will get to it sooner now.
Does anyone have recommendations for matching paint for Imperial Jade Mica?

I have the same issue at the edge of one of the side cargo windows. There is a bubble and rust stains coming out of the weep holes. the weathstrip is cracked/chipped and pulled away slightly at the top. I was going to make a thread about it because apparently I need a whole new window they don't sell the weatherstrips. And I'll have to touch up the rust so would be interested in what you do with yours.

That looks great. First one I've seen to use solid lumber instead of plywood. I really like the idea of wooden drawer slides. If you replaced the pine drawer slides with hardwood (you can get oak at home depot or lowes), and then use furniture wax (i use minwax paste wax) it will slide like butter.

OE bleeder plugs.
Wheel well engine splash guard.
Fuel filter + nuts for the bracket.
Rear wiper arm + wiper + little screws.
MAF o-rings.
LBJ bolts.
OE skid plate bolts
Alternator adjuster bolt + nut.
Spark plug wire clip.
Radiator hose clip.
Fender liner grommets + screws.
Probably some other nuts and bolts.

I laughed when I saw this because I literally have made these same kind of orders.
I'll go on Toyota's part site or Honda for my other car and binge shop for nuts and bolts and other random parts that I notice are showing fatigue.

You should also replace your engine drain bolt if you haven't already. They usually are in pretty bad shape because of how often it's removed and given that some shops partially round them off, which was the case for mine.

FMU color

I took my mirror into Sherman-Williams paint store and had them match. Used paint specific for plastics. Since FMU was stock Grey, no need to primer, cleaned with spirits. ONLY ONE COAT, trust me on that!
Painted with small foam roller, as smooth as you can fine
Looks stock. I like better then rattle can colors on market

Replaced OEM fog light bulbs with 3900K PIAA Star bulbs.
Performed fog light mod to have them come on whenever I want.

Picked her up a week ago and snapped a few photos of her in stock form.the modding will start soon since, I just received a 3 inch lift from toytec and total chaos ucas. Still waiting for the new wheels and tires to arrive as well.
