Took my 4R on its first longish journey to my moms. 5 hours and 250 miles not a hiccup or issue. The new tires worked fine in the rain. Rides still good on factory stuff @ 135k.
Now I’m here I noticed the left front side light is out so will try to change it tomorrow and the license plate lights.
Hope for a good ride back home in the rain tomorrow.

There's some underlying damage unfortunately, and it tweaked my light bar. luckily it wasn't my fault and I'll hopefully get a nice insurance check.

I am. It was a 17 yr old girl on her phone. She Ran the red light and hit the rav4. I stopped the rav4 from spinning all the way around haha. The first responders were super impressed that my truck had over 300,000 on it though, so that was cool.

What did you do to your 3rd gen today?

Refresh of rear suspension. FJ cruiser rear coils, replaced upper and lower control arm bushings and panhard bar bushings with energy suspension poly’s. All to go along with Bilstein HD’s all ready installed.

My ex sister-in-law had a Liberty. Big POS. To bleed the cooling system, one had to use a 17mm hex socket driver. :doh:

finally got my lift

FINALLY!!! got my lift on after weeks of trying to decide what to get. I ended doing the Toytec/Eibach 112620 coils for the front and LC 8 wraps in the rear with 5100's all around. The rake was ridiculous when I first got the car off the lift. I was actually so bummed on how much rake there was. I wish I snapped a photo of it. This made me not want to mount my arb front bumper just yet. Anyways, heres how it looks: I have my stock rims and tires(4) in the trunk and my tool box in the trunk to weigh the rear down a little to even out the rake. Hopefully she settles down a bit after a few weeks... Btw I'm on the 2nd perch up front.

What model 5100 Billies? The 620# Eibach coils are what I run on Taco Billies(D558). I'm on the second perch with a Relentless bumper and engo winch. You could go up again when you put on the ARB if you are running Tundra billies. They have 5 perches.

If the 8 wraps are used I wouldn't count on any settling. You've got a couple options at this point if you really can't live with the rake. New rear bumper but then you'll really compress the 8 wraps. New springs. Obviously the springs are cheaper and you could sell the 8 wraps to make up for it. I have some 3" Toytec 9602RC sitting in the garage that I removed when I added my rear bumper. They road very well without the added weight. They're a solid choice if you go lower.

Cleaned all the leather with Lexol cleaner and then followed with a conditioner. I'm impressed by how much better it feels, but the real test will be if it prolongs the inevitable cracking on the side of the passenger seat...

I have the tundra 5100s. I am a little skeptical about going up the the 3rd perch. I keep hearing about harsh ride quality. I absolutely love the way it rides right now with the 4 tires in the back. I don't feel that the spring is over compressed at all right now and like others said, it rides like a Cadillac. I might just live with it until I get a rear bumper that can weight it down as much as the 4 wheels in my trunk lol.

Also on about the settling. I was always unsure of that. People always talk about used LC coils settling but don't most people get theme used so how would they settle more? I did a little research on the forum, might have been on a different one, but some dude talked about how they have been uncompressed for a while in cold and hot weather cycles so now since theyre are being put back under load, that they should still have about .5"-1.0" of settling to go... ? Can someone confirm this.

If anything I either get leveling spaces for the front, get smaller lc coils, or move up to the 3rd perch on the tundra 5100s

Finally replaced the worn out suspension.

Front: Bilstein 6112 (clip 8)
Rear: OME 890 with Bilstein 24-249966

Also replaced the both sway bar bushings and links (front for both front and rear). Very happy with how it came out and it ride a lot better. Still have the load E tires though which makes small bumps rough.

It's interesting that so many Jeep's have inexpensive mods, huge selection of mods versus 4Runner and I wish we had those options sometimes. But in all my outings I rarely ever seen a Jeep on the trails over 100K miles, 150K miles I've seen 2 and over 200K miles seen a few that ended up blowing up on the trails. This was back when I actually wheeled hard before my injuries
