Just put ~1000 smooth miles traveling for the holiday break, however my wife and I came out to the car from our friends place in LA on Saturday 11-25 to see my front pass. window smashed in. Perp took off with my maintenance logbook?, registration paperwork, my wife's clothes, my Leatherman, and our friend's baby's pack n play thing. Left behind my Scangauge and sunglasses though, quite odd. Luckily we received a great referral to an auto glass repair center and were in and out in 45 min for only $90 (non-OEM glass of course) to replace. Just felt a little violated to know that someone was rummaging through our personal property(!)

broke my passenger side mirror housing on my garage door frame this AM. Kid crying, neighbor kid running through my driveway startled me, and i just flat out didnt pay attention. Anyways, anyone got any good links for a source for a housing that might or might not need to be painted Dorado Gold Pearl...
Found one on amazon for $35, not painted, but i work at dealership with a body shop so painting isnt too bad.

Been spoiling my 4runner lately

Bought a set of Whiteline LCA bushings off Amazon for $62.82 shipped. Will install these over the holiday break along with the Energy suspension steering rack bushings and sway bar bushings I already have on the shelf.

Bought a Long Tru-Cool LPD Transmission Oil Cooler kit for $70 shipped. Will install it when I install my ARB bumper.

And
Did a drain and fill last after I picked up up 3 bottles of Castrol Transmax Import Multi-Vehicle Automatic Transmission Fluid from Walmart (yes, that's the wrong pic on that link) for less than $6 a bottle after tax.

I got exactly 2.5 quarts out of the trans pan (2WD A340E) so I added 2.5 quarts back in.

Measured and marked Quart/Half Quart graduated markings on a 1 gallon OSH bucket, to make life easy

Lastly, got an email from BumperSuperstore.com that my ARB bumper is "ready to ship" in 1-2 days, which means if they ship by Tuesday I will receive it Friday because CO is only 3 days via UPS ground. If not, next week; unless as mentioned by [MENTION=102606]infamousRNR[/MENTION], it may be a month backordered and if so, then it's another holiday break install. Better book my vacation time now :wow:

There are so many stupid car break ins in my neighborhood where the crooks take the dumbest stuff - makes me wonder sometimes

One thing that someone taught me was that the best secret of auto insurance is zero-deductible comprehensive... For my cars, it adds about $20 a year, and covers things like glass breakage, windshield damage, door dings, etc - with zero cost to me.

What's best is that because any claims to comprehensive are not driving related, they should not affect your rates. Obviously you don't want to be filing a claim for every scratch, but it has come in handy for me enough to pay the cost of insurance many times over (e.g. the $2000 MB GLK windshield).

Put on a lift kit this weekend...

Over the weekend I did the following :

Replaced Fuel Tank Overfill Valve
Cleared P0440 & P0446 Codes
Replaced every light inside the car with LED's
Replaced all dash lights with White LED's
Replaced License Plate Lights with LED's
Cleaned out the Evap box with a spray
Deep cleaned the dash and surrounding areas

Busy few days! But it was a blast as it all went relatively smoothly. :bounce:

This week, foam the evap box and install the wheel spacers I picked up!

Have you ever had issues with your overdrive?

Mine is acting up. With my foot on gas just slightly, overdrive will not engage. When I let up on gas, it will engage. And with foot off gas, I can turn off and on via switch and it's operating.

Can't find any posts anywhere with similar problem.

Tried to conquer P0420 by replacing my front sensor. Nuts came right off, it was a 15 min job. Was feeling great. :reddance:

Took a test drive, CEL came on after about 20 miles. :sniper:

Just ordered the rear sensor. Finger crossed that I won't have to replace the cat.

The front sensor looked pretty toasted so probably worth it at as any rate. I was getting long crank times at startup and seemed better the 3 times I started it after the new sensor.

The plot thickens... Got in the truck today, no CEL! Maybe the computer needed to relearn? I'm going to temper my expectations in case it does come back but in the meantime it's nice to have a "dark" dashboard.
