I picked up the steel needed to finish my rock rails.

I could have done it in my beater commuter car, but it felt right picking up the 4runner parts in the 4runner. Plus I just wanted to drive it.

Almost forgot - made a 3D printed prototype mount for the trans temp gauge, and installed it. I really like the all-digital gauge, much easier to read than the Autometer. As for the mount, I'll make some adjustments and print the final version.

Found the misfire on my GF’s 3rd gen. If I had to guess, they’re original with 230k, just like the timing belt, water pump, and valve cover gaskets were. It drives like a new truck now. I have 2 things left to to; replace the fuel pump, and put a trans in it.

I take it the plug is so dirty due to the leaking seal. I hope your GF got the 4runner for a good price.

Finally got around to replacing my right front ABS sensor today. Of course the bolt head was stripped, spent 30 min drilling the head off and the remaining bolt came out with just the turn of a hand.

I learned a few other things today as well......

My RF brake hose is rubbing against the sway bar, not sure if the bracket is bent or the hose too long. It might be the root cause of my weak brake pedal.

Destroyed one of my little fold-able wheel chocks, he will be missed

And lastly I learned the density of transmission fluid is less than a 50/50 mixture of ethylene glycol. Now that I think about it I guess it is basically an oil.

Haven't been on here in awhile. Finished up my CBI DIY Tacoma Bumper. Threw some cheap LEDs on for good measure. I don't know if I'll keep them for too long. I think I'd like some Squadron Sports. Next up is a winch and some amber dust/fogs...and sliders.

Do ya get tons of rocks thrown up chipping the paint with no fender flares and wheels sticking out? I'm putting Limited flares on cause it drives me nuts

Every once in awhile I'll hear a rock fly up and clunk but haven't noticed anything specifically from rocks flying up. It's not totally apparent in the photos but my truck has its fair share of chips and scratches from tight trails and what not. I don't totally neglect it but i'm past the point of caring too much about the paint.

Got my alignment done after installing the 6112's. Had tires balanced and rotated for the first time after buying the truck.

Caster is still off but I'm good with what they were able to do with it until I get aftermarket UCA's.
