What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

So in the last month or so I have ran into major issues. All internal switches are starting to fail. Brakes have intermittent hard pedal even after brake booster swap. Heater core valve is leaking. Air conditioning compressor failure. And today my fuel pump I replaced from an Evo that had 50k miles is failing.

I'm about to part her out. Lol. Seems 300k miles is her breaking point.

You’re looking for an escape route. I get it and it’s all good. When it’s time, it’s time.

Packed her up to get the hell out of dodge for several days!

That blows and if you part her out I'll be sad to see you go, but I can completely understand.

Was it a new booster or used? Did you reuse your check valve? I can't think of anything else that could cause hard pedal.

It was a used unit with 1 year warranty. Everything works fine unless I have to do a sudden stop then it's super hard work no braking. I'm going to try a new check valve but I heard abs unit can cause it also.

Rescued an injured comrade! The pumpkin developed a slow leak from a crack and the previous owner drove it dry until the bearings fell apart and grenaded the ring and pinion. I'm gonna keep her stock.....alright, maybe a 'conservative' lift.

hauled my 4runner to a buddy's shop and had some work done, including a new OEM power steering rack.

Just got back from a 4900 mile road trip. She broke 200k and took it like a champ.

First pics are at Bridal Veil Falls in Telluride, CO.

Did a couple of things today. PO had bypassed stock transmission cooler when he added an external, it wasn't providing enough cooling when I was towing or going up steep grades, so I put it back in line. Plan going forward is to replace radiator every 100k to be on the safe side. While I had the skid plates off, I went ahead and changed the oil and filter. Lastly I did the quickest mod of all time to keep my 12v sockets live all the time.

I love that... so I copied you! (speaker wire with a bit of hot glue to keep the strands from shearing lol)

Looks awesome, new lt shocks? Sweetest bump stops ever. More lift? Does the pan hard change make it drive any different? Needs more dirt to fit in at the mall.

That photo was right after the shocks where installed in the rear. It's since settled 1/2". The PCK is by far the best thing you can do to a lifted rig for returning to stock geometry. It makes a HUGE difference.

are those kings in the front?
if so how is the ride? im thinking of buying them and running ome 906's in the rear.. (already bought the ome setup) I need front shocks/coilovers but im really undecided what route to go...

They are Kings in the front. It really depends on your budget. If you can afford the Kings up front, do it. The high speed dirt performance over my Billies/Eibach combo is night and day.

I like your brake cable booster-upper.

Thanks. I never liked having the cable even with the axle so I moved it up. It keeps the cable from snagging rocks. If you do it just adjust the parking brake nuts at the brake handle in the cab. I gave them about 3/8" more slack when I raised it. The parking brake functions the exact same as before. I adjusted the bell cranks slightly as well.
