Well...here is what I'm gonna say. I'm doing a rough calculation estimate off of my gas gauge, so I won't know for sure, for sure, until I fill up again. I will say, that with mixed driving, I've gotten to ~170 miles on 3/4 (or whatever the 2nd to last hash mark is) on my tank.

I also know that the O2 sensors are original, so it would probably help a tad to replace them anyway at 172k.

It might not be as bad as 10, but I figure its worse than what it should be.

But discount what I say, since I'm rolling off the gauge.

For what it's worth, I got all intrigued by this JIS discussion last time it came up on this thread, and plunked down a decent chunk of change to get the JIS bits.

Imagine my disappointment when I received them and found them to be absolutely identical to this set of Makita bits I've been using for years, for significantly less money - https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00E3FK850/ref=psdc_8107045011_t1_B00E1GKK3Q.

I'm not sure there's a cheaper alternative for screwdrivers, but certainly for driver bits, I'd go with the Makita bits (even though they do say PH2 on them instead of JIS).

Got the rear of my lift put on my 98 4cyl yesterday; New OME 906s with a 10mm trim packer both sides, Icon 2.0 rear 0-2" lift shocks.

Feels amazing! Thought it would be super stiff, but I can't imagine better. I think I got exactly 2.5 inches, have to measure again. Fricken puuurfect. Coilovers and alignment tomorrow AM.:frog: Got a killer rake at the moment

Wouldn't surprise me if Makita uses the JIS dimensions on their bits - or the "JIS" driver set you got isn't really a JIS set - both are reasonable possibilities.

Parked it until I cant figure out a cheap route to fix the bogging issues after the SC install :Cry: or just wait til December and purchase/install the URD 7th injector kit.

I suspect the former is correct, even though they are stamped "PH2". They are a cheaper alternative to "official" JIS bits, and are identical to the ones shown in the "JIS vs Phillips" comparison pictures.

Rack and Pinion

Replaced my leaky rack and pinion, found a wrecked 1999 4Runner at the local junk yard and stripped the factory Toyota rack and pinion for $80bucks!

Tried to figure out why my reverse lights don't work. Tried to hotwire the switch as per the youtube/forums say (5 speed) and still no luck. Bulbs are good.

Yea...never trust the gauge. Fill up, drive a bit, fill up again. Miles/gallons of gas equals MPG.
