What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Today I cleaned the blower under the dash. Looked like a bird nest lol. Now I can turn my fan above ‘2’ without getting an awful noise and violent vibrations. Since getting the truck I have replaced the spark plugs, plug wires, alternator was rebuilt, just rebuilt the starter a few days ago. Installed new speakers all around (infinity). I also painted the entire truck desert sand and picked up some FN 5 stars on 285 Toyos. Next up is replace the cheap spacer lift up front that the truck came with! Oh and of course some more maintenance items thrown in there too

Prepping all required parts and tools for Friday evening. Will be replacing upper and lower ball joints then all 4 shocks

I just installed Infinity reference speakers all around. I’m pleased with the sound. What did you go with? How are you liking them?

Carbon fiber wrap turned out quite well. I'm happy with it. Black and white for dramatic effect.

I just installed Infinity reference speakers all around. I’m pleased with the sound. What did you go with? How are you liking them?

I went with the same! For what I paid (they were on sale) I’m happy with them. The headunit that came with the truck needs to be replaced to get the most out of them I think. I’ve also been toying with the idea of buying a slim 8-10” sub for under the back seats, just need a little bump!

Last night replaced/extended all my sway bar links. This morning I'm swapping my silverstars for oedro LEDs... Next up CVs and LBJs!

Front lower ball joints and stabilizer bar end links. Not too hard of a job. A couple hours and a couple beers should do it.

Went junkyard shopping today and ended up with a pretty nice 02 sport hood myself. It'll need paint to match my Anthracite, but so would a new one and this one was only $50. Not quite as good of a deal as the e-locker + locker ecu + wiring i picked up for $65 a few months back, but I'm not complaining.

Have you guys ever done the "Running Board Mod" its the cool thing to do now!

i decided to put my boards back on while i start to winterize my rig. all the crap that gets mixed in with the snow/slush/rain that slings on to the body is nasty. #dailydriver

all mods are put on hold til end of winter

Tore it down to start the milkshake repair. Doing a timing set and top end gaskets while I'm in there.

new u-joints installed, rear wheel bearings and seals, rear diff fluid change and installed new head unit :thumb3:

How was replacing the bulbs? I have one that is out and don't want to take the plunge in the cold winter months.

Should take about 20 minutes. All you need is a phillips and a flat head screw driver.

1. Open the center console then pull up the e-brake.
2. Carefully pull up on the plastic for e-brake cover.
3. Pull up the cover for the gear selector.
4. Dont start the car but put the gear selector in the lowest gear.
5. Carefully pull the radio bezel toward you starting from the bottom and set it a side. I didn't remove any connection.
6. Remove the climate control should be 3 phillips screws.Unplug the two connector. Then there are two more screw holding the climate control cover together. Take a small flat head and carefully take them apart. Then you can replace all 4 bulbs. Background LCD ones are gray and the one that light up the back light for the button are green. Careful not to disconnect the ribbon cable for the PCB boards.
LCD display bulb part #81850-35020. you'll need 2 bulbs
Backlight bullbs part number # 81850-35030. you'll need 2 bulb.
7. Put everything back in reverse order.
