New battery time. The last few chilly mornings ( ~30 ° or colder) she's been cranking a lot slower. A trip to NAPA after work confirmed it- 6 year old battery was only putting out 340 amps. $120 later I got a new NAPA brand battery, just in time for some cold air headed towards the Mid-Atlantic.

Got me the same pair of shoes a month ago. You're gonna love the STT PRO's.
With the world's worst jack, and only one shop light (my overhead lights decided to take a crap), I was able to install the rear Durobumps I bought!
Tomorrow will be the fronts..
Luckily that was an easy install. Here's to hoping my jack behaves better tomorrow and the sun is shining.

Today I programmed the Keyless Entry Remote (KRE)
After 3 years of ownership, I finally realized 2 things:
1. The used car salesman gave me the Valet Key (c'mon, who actually locks their glovebox?) instead of the master key.
2. My 1998 SR5 Limited had KRE as a dealer option. I found the black box under the seat, purchased two master keys and a remote fob from my local dealer, and programmed my KRE. It is so nice to press the button and watch my lights flash with that satisfying "Beep".
Note: Parts Dept was kind enough to tell me to try to program it myself instead of paying $60 for the Service guys to do it for me. Programming took 10 seconds (see my earlier post).
** Some Toyota dealers are offering 10% of parts for every 100,000 miles on your Toyota, make sure you ask them! **

OEM LBJ’s, LBJ bolts, OTRE, and Napa Altrom (Sankei 555) ITRE’s. Also cranked the c/o’s up another inch and added some decals to the Tundra calipers while I was in there.

Replaced two ignition coils though only one had a bad boot. 4Runner operates a little bit smoother now. Denso 673-1201.

SR5 repairs and upgrades
So, I bought my 3rd gen right before Christmas with 230k miles its a 5sp MT. The PO had a shitty suspension lift, water pump, timing belt, and brake booster about 3k miles ago, and just had it reupholstered. So far I have sunk about 4500 in it.
Took it to pep boys for initial work....never doing that again. What I got,
- new steering rack
- new brake pads/rotors/shoes all around
- flush and fill all fluids
- new cv axle
- new heater valve
- new yellow top battery
- new rear window motor and regulator
Now, the work Ive done.
- rev tech diff drop 1"
- Bilstein 5100 and 883 upfront
-Procomp extended and 891 rear
- another cv due to dumb lift
- new lower and upper ball joints
- new outer tie rods
- new radiator, another flush
- rewired from a-pillar back.
- had to due to PO stupid sound system
Whats next:
- big 3
- O2 sensors
- seafoam treatment
- MAF cleaning
- brake flush
- new rear endlinks/ panhard
- bushings all around
- getting evap code so diagnosing the cause of that now.
Wish List:
- CBI rear bumper with arm
- ARB front
- new radio
- cb radio
- either buy new/used console or 3d print one with slots for toys
- building gear box for cargo bay

trying to figure out the 285X70R17 MT TA KM3 game
I was given a 17x7.5 spare steelie off a 2016 trail pro and I had it mounted and tried it at full derp.
yep rubs upper control arm.
thinking of picking up a set of the 17x7 trundra sport wheels. hard to imagine that the 7.5 vs 7 width matters but I guess the extra .5 width makes the backspacing different enough to rub the upper arms.
