what deo you mean upgrade the wheel cylinders ? Is this a mod I don't know

according to the youtube the 4runner wheel cylinder is 15/16 and he swaps them out for 1 inch with an AC delco. Wonder what the Toyota oem equivalent is

My power antenna had been bent at one time and wasn't fully retracting. I decided to replace it with a much simpler unit.
This was not a simple job and took most of my morning, but turned out OK in the end. I was able to re-purpose the neoprene collar that fits the contour of the fender. You'll need to move the inner fender liner for the right, front fender to access the power antenna and this will require replacing some plastic fasteners as they seem to be single-use. If you live in the rust belt and have cladding, the bolts that fasten the cladding and liner to the fender may also need to be replaced.
I found a few vids on Youtube that proved to be helpful.

AC Delco is an OEM Manufacturer... I'm going to guess that the wheel cylinder he's using, is the same brand as the 4Runner's OEM component. Probably from a Sequoa or Tundra.
edit: *I searched the part number on Amazon, and checked to see if it was listed as a replacement part for a 2001 Tundra... sure enough!

Had poured seafoam into oil yesterday and drove 200miles.
-Changed oil with Mobile 1 extended and add some Engine restore.
-Drained front diff oil and sanded crush washer to hopefully stop oil weep.
-Rotated tired.
-Fixed LED bar and wired everything back up.
-Changed air filter OEM Toyota.

Rusty Suspention Parts
Today I tried to replace the struts on my recently bought 2001 Toyota 4runner. I got two of the nuts off the top but the third one closest to engine is stuck. The only wrench I can get on it slips and their is not enough room to get a socket on it. Also I need to replace the rubber boot in between the tire rod and power steering rack but the cotter pin in the castle nut is so rusted when I try to take it out the part that stick out just disintegrates. Has anyone had this experience and any suggestions? Thanks

Installed my Eimkeith PCK, (fantastic product). Did my boot stretch mod, and installed my red LED,s in the ash tray, climate control, key ring, power outlet ring and glove box. Kinda like the red. For my power outlet ring I went to my parts 4Runner and took the ask tray light housing with 4inches if it’s accompanying wire. I then snipped the power outlet(cig lighter) ring electrical fitting off of my car and hooked up the ash tray one from my party car into its place. That little ash tray bulb fitting fits darn nicely into the power outlet ring. I then took the truck fishing with my boys.

New Tom Woods driveshaft. Had a bad U-joint in the double cardan joint. Ordered a new shaft from Tom Woods and installed it about a week ago. Couldn't be happier. Truck accelerates so smooth and has no more vibration at highway speeds. It also got rid of my thunk when you come to a stop.

Trying to find a hidden short
I have a very specific situation with my brake light fuse. I have an intermittent short in my brake light system and i dont think its because of the brake light wiring itself.
Sometimes i can drive 5 minutes bo problem.
Other times i cant even shift before the fuse blows.
Im thinking this might be related to the shift lock control ecu or the related parts. Only because the short is intermittent.
Any thoughts appreciated

Walmart. 8.95.
We'll see how it holds up but it works OK and retrofitted nicely with the stock mount. I Bluetooth my phone with the stereo and almost never listen to the radio so almost skipped the antenna all together.
Routing the cable is the most challenging part of that job.

Today has been all about hand washing the truck after going on some trails. Also been looking for speakers to pair with the Kenwood DVD/Apple AirPlay deck I purchased last week. Looking likely going back to Focals on the speaker front. Really is fun being able to do this after previously owning a Lexus LS460 and Infiniti M56x where aside from adding a subwoofer/amp by tapping the rear speaker leads, there really is not much that can be done.
My 2000 Land Cruiser had a pretty respectable system with Focal PolyKevlar's, JL Audio 300/2 (2), JL 1000/1 driving a JL 12W7 ProWedge. Gosh was I an idiot for selling it. Was sick of getting 10 MPG both highway and local.

Years ago I wanted to add some stuff to my motorcycle trailer and a welder wanted $240 to do the job which I thought was outrageous so I found an old Lincoln arc welder in the Recycler(old classified paper like craigslist) for $100 and took a whack at it. It's really not that difficult, and a great skill to have especially now with youtube. I eventually stepped up to a MIG welder and have built a couple trailers and fabbed all kinds of things, even the tool for pulling the rear axle bearings on my 4runner, and I just welded my Stubbs rock sliders on last week !
