Replaced headlights and foglight bulbs. Might get another set of headlights, wanted a little more clear white color

I heard a rattling sound coming from my newly purchased T4r. Upon inspection, I found out the flange on the muffler to the tailpipe has rusted out.

Worked on my skid plate rust repair and smoothing. I need to weld up 1 spot this week. Then I went home and washed her and decided to do a “quick vacuum” 4 hours later I’m half way done shampooing the seats, door panels and carpet. Still need to clean the console and dash good. Tomorrow could be a long afternoon.

Yesterday I painted my TEQ grille badge the body color on the recessed area and then cleared the whole thing.

LBJ's then vacation

Y'all are doing some great work to your 4Runners!

A couple weeks ago, my 18 year old Son (who wants to be a mechanic) replaced Lower Ball Joints (with my supervision) (original with 268K).
Then I drove "Roscoe" 1300 miles on vacation - the longest trip he's ever taken with me. Went to Lake of the Ozarks then Kentucky Lake and Land Between the Lakes. Back home now. Vacation over to quickly.
Back to work tomorrow.

Installed a 6” drop/lowering kit this afternoon...... [emoji23]. Would never do that. Went out with the family to take a break from the busy work, as well as check my clearance for the 35s. Found out the rear inner flares need trimmed.[emoji58] oh well new project for tomorrow.

what did you use to affix the holster to the arm rest? some sort of adhesive i imagine?


not today per se, but this weekend i got the total chaos UCAs installed and then i proceeded to get her aligned. after that i wasted no time going up to the mountains to blast up and and down some fire roads. ive only had her for a couple of weeks now, but yesterday was the first time i got to play in the dirt. kicking myself for not getting a 4runner earlier!!

will probably wash it tonight.

not today per se, but this weekend i got the total chaos UCAs installed and then i proceeded to get her aligned. after that i wasted no time going up to the mountains to blast up and and down some fire roads. ive only had her for a couple of weeks now, but yesterday was the first time i got to play in the dirt. kicking myself for not getting a 4runner earlier!!

will probably wash it tonight.

I actually lined it up, leveled it (yes, annoyingly accurate haha), and drilled hopes through the upper console compartment. The light holster has locking screws, so it clicked together very easily.

Axle seal, brakes, wheel spacers

Replaced rear driver's side axle seal. Was actually a pretty easy job. Hardest part was removing the old seal. FYI, the brake parts do not need to be removed to do this.
Replaced front brake pads, and surprise! A piston was locked in the passenger side caliper. So it was replaced too.
Installed a set of yitamotor 1.5" wheel spacers. Love the look and only $50 on fleabay. I can see why some think you need extended nuts on the front, but I was still able to get 8 or 9 full turns. Good enough for now I hope.

Used my new foam gun I bought today. I went with the high pressure Hi Tech industries version. I ordered it through work so I got it for basically half off retail so right at $35. I am going to pick up the low pressure version soon since my daughter loves to wash cars but hates my pressure washer. I was really impressed with foam gun.

Then installed my new TEQ badge. It looks a million times better than the factory badge.

Radiator Support is out!

I finally got the old radiator support out. I used a wire wheel and cleaned up the rust, and sprayed some rustoleum for prevention. Also replaced all the drive belts having the best access to everything rt now. One step closer!!
