I'm using their optional clip bracket ($1.95), attached to the bracket I fabricated to have it mount to the a-pillar grab handle:
I'm really enjoying using this ultragauge - given the inconsistent 4Runner fuel gauge, the "gallons left" and "distance to empty" features of the UG are very useful to me.

No pics, but collecting parts for manual hub swap, waiting for exchanged bearings to come back (koyo bearings had the rubber dust seals defective so I sent them back) I have everything else to do the swap, just waiting on bearings and to pick up a 20t press this weekend. Also going to throw in poly lower A arm and rack bushings and SPC upper arms. I picked up some knuckles from the junk yard, cleaned them up and welded on on gussets and new oem LBJ's. Also going to pop in ECGS front bushing.
Also going to go bigger with the trans cooler. The B&M 70264 isn't cutting it off roading. Normal city driving its fine. Going with a hayden 699 with a 10" spal fan with thermal switch and manual off (water crossing) and manual on. After the front end work, I'll install a transgo shift kit the HD2 and do a trans flush. Probably will use the 70264 for a power steering cooler.
And also trying to decide on what tires.....285/75r16 or 255/85r16......:shrug: I like the duratec's but I also like the 255 bfg's km3 ugh....
Working on a f-150 tank swap with eimkeith's mounting kit. I don't have a build thread yet, don't know if I even want to put one together....

Seriously how much for one of these shipped to Florida? It doesnt have to be painted or anything.
IVe had this UG for a few years. Got it for my Disco 2 and now its been in the 4Runner and IVe struggled to find a decent spot or mount for it and I dont want to drill into the dash. I really would love one of these.

Did the tundra brake upgrade earlier this week
I knew I needed new rotors and pads but got in there and discovered one of the calipers had seized up on one side so I needed new calipers anyway

Yup, the 4Runner does not have many good mounting options for the UG, and I hate suction or tape mounts. This mount is solid as heck. I'm working on the final design, so it can also accommodate the scangauge. It's in prototype now, then figure another 10 days for production and powder coat.
I'm aiming for under $30, delivered.
New to the 4runner world. Picked an 01 sr5 4x4 with 101k a couple weeks ago.
Not the best picture but the first thing I've done is replaced be stock head unit. Planning on swapping out the front speakers and figuring out how to make 6.5s work in the rear this weekend, I know they required mods, so we'll see how far I get before I abandon the idea.

Hey guys new member here I have a quick question. I have a 2001 4Runner sr5 and I have a after market head unit and my antenna only goes down when I take the keys out of ignition switch. Well trying to go thru a automatic car wash and was wondering do I need to put transmission and transfer case to neutral to go thru automatic car wash with the keys out? I don’t want my antenna to get messed up. And is it safe to turn my engine off with it being in neutral?

Congrats Dodtbdm and what a fine looking T4R you have there.
I was in your neck of the woods a couple years ago to buy an LS 400. Did a fly-n-drive from Hesperia (actually flew into Oxnard) to Scottsdale.
Here's mine with sliders and a Gobi Stealth rack.

Recently picked this truck up as a project, so I know it wasn’t going to be in top condition... but tell me, is this salvageable?

Did it run before removing the valve covers? If so, did it run smoothly?
I would think this is salvagable. Mine looked similar when I did my valve cover gaskets. Mine was more of a golden brown.
Kinda hard to see in this pic, but if you zoom in, you can see what mine looked like.

I'll have a go at removing as much of the caked on gunk.
Guess I'm gonna have to invest in a few gallons of parts clean lol

All day long IMHO. Try many short quick oil changes with a good cleaning oil (Pennzoil comes to mind). You may even want to add a little Marvel Mystery Oil as well to help. There have been other forum members who have used a vacuum cleaner to remove the gunk. :help:

No time to do much but the nice people at Cox Toyota did my timing belt and front brakes along with an oil change and inspection.
I installed a Pioneer Radio. That was about 20 minutes of easy effort.

Shoes & rear axle seals
My rear drums had a ton of gear oil. Cleaned and replaced the shoes and seals only. Not ready to take on the bearings yet, but will soon.
Brakes feel fine but parking light stays on. Dumb to assume I just installed too tight and wait for shoes to wear?

Road trip
From LA to Palm Springs. Tilda is a warrior and handled the trip like a champ and saw some fellow 3GT4Rs on the way there. Freeway driving is awesome with the kings.
