swapped from 285-75 BFGs to 265 Falken Wildpeaks. Much more dailyable now, though I know it's prolly uncool to drop a size or two! But damn those k02s were heavy

Finished and installed my HID retrofit with RGB halos. Very happy with the look and even happier with how much better I can see at night. I feel like I was squinting to see first.

Finally replaced my shifter bushings. The old ones were non existent, couldn’t be found, just metal on metal for who knows how long. Also changed out the shifter bulb with a T5 LED bulb. Took about an hour.

Decided to try the most excellent bumper trim dye on the very tired looking windshield cowling.

Couple tips:

1) If you decide to tape off areas, leave it on until you have applied all coats of dye to get the consistent look.

2) Some areas need > 1 coat.

Came out pretty good and a big improvement over how it looked before applying the dye.

This dye works really well on bumper trim and almost as well on the cowling. The plastics are of a different type to my untrained eye and that may have something to do with it.

The white-like reflection in the last pic is the overhead lights and the cowling color is fairly consistent across all of it.

Washed it, removed wiper arms and painted them, realized the spray traveled 30 feet across the yard and landed on the runner so I washed it again... then lost the nuts to the wiper arms :target:

Had a big last few days. Continued to refresh of my suspension. All OEM factory parts for now. Installed new steering rack, outer tierods, stabilizer bar bushings and endlinks, upper and lower control arms, upper and lower ball joints, coil overs, power steering lines and a new rag joint. Went all out and purchased all new hardware.

Damn rag joint was frozen on the odd steering rack. Also had to cut off the lower control arms. Damn rust belt. Goes in for an alignment tomorrow.

On a scary note, the lower ball joints appeared to be original with 205k miles on them. Very loose and very rusted. Sure they weren't far from failure.

The suspension refresh has cost more than I purchase price for the truck. It'll be nice to no longer have the death wobble. Feel much safer now.

Supercharger is waiting to be installed. Way too much free time with the social distancing and 14 day quarantine from work.

since installing the locker I have not put on chains

I saw the post and I'm like 9 inches of snow? Where is he? Oh yes, it's 3bears and he's now in AK.

In 3 months, I'll be wishing I was dealing with 9 inches of snow. Hahaha.

1998 SR5 4wd AT. Faded Desert Dune Metallic. 230k. BFG 32s, OEM Split 3 wheels, 199mm Tundra front brakes (that clear the split-3 wheels by [emoji2532]THAT much), B&M trans cooler, K&N CAI (it was on it when I bought it and is getting tossed for an OEM airbox eventually). No lift (yet).

I started to inspect my 4runner because have no power

Sadly, this wasn't Today, but over the last 5 weeks......

Tore the front end back down (again), after replacing the power steering rack, outer tie-rods, and passenger side CV boots 2 weeks prior....
This time, to install, a new Front Diff w/ 4.88:1 gears and a Detroit TrueTrac along with new sway bar bushings and end link bushings.

Finally the front gearing and diff matches the rear, which received 4.88:1 gears and a Detroit TrueTrac as well as all new seals, bearings, and brake shoes, 2 weeks prior to me doing the front.

And to top all this off.... Last weekend, replaced my defective Bilstein 5yr old front struts (They started leaking, from the welds on the bottom). :-/

Feb/March, wasn't a very kind month to my budget. And I still have to install the rear sway bar bushings and end link bushings.
