Got her stuck on the side of a hill with a brilliant view. Not my proudest moment, but got some great pictures!

Replaced the passenger side CV axle. Third time using Oreilys imported brand due to a torn CV boot since 2009. Glad the last two have been free under warranty. Am still using the original castle nut on the end of the shaft.

The passenger side is so much easier to replace than the driver’s side IMHO.....

I managed to get the rear bumper off my moms 97. Lol it wasn't as hard as I thought since there was just a bit of chrome left, everything else had pretty much rotted away. A little bit of cutting was required.

People complain about the bumpers rusting but I think it's a good thing. They provide catholic protection to the rest of the underside.

The new aftermarket one seems ok but some of the mounting brackets are wrong and will need to be cut off, repositioned and welded back on. Yet another handy job for my welder.

Put it up for sale

Put my 1998 4runner 2wd with a lunchbox locker up for sale. Sucks that most people don't understand what a lunchbox locker is however lol.

Replaced my fuel filter on my '00. Anytime she was on it reaked like gas, especially near driver's side front door. Once removed the old filter rattled when I shook it. All better now.

(Yesterday) I finally tacked my loose steering column's telescoping failsafe thingamabob. And made shims for the tilt ball. I was super excited to have tight steering wheeeeeeeeeen I broke the tilt housing. Tragic. Going to a junkyard in an hour

Replaced my steering wheel

I changed out my old rotted, non-padded steering wheel. My mechanic wanted to charge 180 to switch it out. It was one of the easiest things I've ever done. I got the steering wheel puller from Advance auto parts through they're tool loaner program.:guitar2:

Replaced my 02 tilt housing with a 99. And after my tack welds and tilt ball shims, my steering is smooth and tight! I'm mclovin' it!

Next to-do is the Tundra brake upgrade!!!

looks good, nice looking 4runner, how much of a lift do you have ? Other wise is it a stock front end. meaning stock style upper control arms ? Any spacers ? Just curious

I had a guy at work who was quoted $250 to do that same job and we both said "Hey that ain't bad" the dealer wanted more!
NY prices suck... Glad you got the job done!

Sorry i messed up the format.

Installed the rear ome 891 springs and kyb gas-a-just LC shocks (drilled the top mounts to 15/16"). Well it's 1970's raked now lol. So front temp stuff coming to level him out. Man it is nice actually having rear suspension travel lol. Since I bought him almost a year ago I have been riding on the rear conical bump stops and blown front shocks. Was waiting to do a full lift bit just couldn't save the cash lol. So I have around 250-350 pounds constant in the rear so it rides really nice and plush. I was worried about the 891/LC set up but they work nicely.

Also made a 1" bumpstop spacer, e-brake cable mount extender and have 2nd gen 4runner rear sway bar links coming. Haven't decided on a extended rear brake line yet, but probably will after payday. Was a good day today. Tomorrow, new trans cooler with a fan.

I finally got around to lifting my 2001 4Runner. After hours of forum research I decided to do the Tundra/Landcruiser lift. All went well, however, the rear lifted more than I was expecting and the front lifted less than I was expecting, meaning I had almost a 4 inch rake. To fix this I bought and installed a 2.5 inch leveling kit from FatBobs Garage. It solved my issue great. I still have a little rake (which I need for when I do a rear bumper build).

For tires I put on 33s. To be exact the toyo open country MTs (255/85/R16). These "thin" tires really look excellent with the cars proportions.

I will be posting a thread on the build with specifics and images soon. Feel free to ask any questions.

I'm confused why you would buy a spacer lift for the front rather than adjust your front shock circlip settings

Replaced my lower ball joints since I don't know when they were replaced last. Would rather be safe then broken down on the side of the road. Used all OEM ball joints and bolts.
