Replaced my lower ball joints since I don't know when they were replaced last. Would rather be safe then broken down on the side of the road. Used all OEM ball joints and bolts.
that was smart of you

"2018 18' wheels" as in those are 18 inch wheels? I have those exact same wheels and they are 17 inches.
Today I got the new trans cooler with fan installed. Took longer then I expected, but came out great. Leaving the old cooler in and I'll run it as a power steering cooler as it gets cooking hot. Fan has 3 modes via spdt switch and relay, pulls 809 c.f.m .@ 15 amps. Normal operation (turns on at 180 degrees via thermo switch), completely off (water crossings ect.), and manual on. Even added a radical little fan led. I have the front still stripped apart to do the ps cooler and hid headlight retrofit. Man I'm working harder on vacation then at work lol. Front end lift stuff should be here end of this week.
I'm confused why you would buy a spacer lift for the front rather than adjust your front shock circlip settings
Traded out all the gear oil and used 70-90 syn valvoline.
Challenges included:
not initially knowing my front diff drain plug was a 12mm instead of the 10mm size on the fill plug.
rounding off the rear fill plug. son of a ***** was stubborn and i eventually caved, had a guy weld on a lug nut to it. i may not swap it out, but since it's the fill plug i can change it out at my leisure without having to drain again.
also, i HIGHLY recommend a pump for your new oil bottle(s). the transfer case is a breeze but a pump would've kept the mess down on the front and rear.

Replaced my valve cover gaskets because both sides were leaking.
For gearbox fills i always use a large funnel connected to 6’ of vinyl tube. The funnel get tied to the wind deflector it’s roof rack. Easy.

How long did this take you? First time doing it?
Mine could use replacing and it looks rather involved for such a simple thing.
Thanks,
Eddie
I think it took me about 5 hours but that was with a dinner break and a few other small ones. It was my first time doing and it wasn't too hard. It's just a lot of hoses and bolts you have to disconnect and keep track of where they go. I followed Timmy's video and that helped a lot. YouTube
Definitely put some tape around the drivers side wire harness. The plastic on it was super brittle and will break off and fall into the valves. I just used some green painters tape because I didn't have any of the tape he used in the video. Decided to leave it on there because taking it off would just make the pieces fall off.
