What Did You Do To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Put TRD wheels on today. Well, yesterday. I think it looks good. They got 265/70 17 tires on them. Stock suspension. They fit great. I do have a rubbing issue. So, bc I plan on being able to go wheeling I need to fix that. I'm hoping someone can give me some advice.
I believe I'm rubbing the UCA. I don't want a lot of lift. I don't care for how it looks. But I need to get that wheel away from the suspension. Spacers? Coilovers? Longer shock? Idk know what can help. I'm not trying to spend a fortune. But...I will if I have to.

I barely know what I'm talking about but I'll share what I've picked up over the last few months:

Cheaper: Spidertrax or BORA (both US made) 1.25" spacers - about $200 for 4 and totally DIY.

Mo money: Trick UCAs that are designed for this. $$ and only DIY if you got the skills and time.

Thank you, well I bought it like that! I was on the hunt to find a unique and nice looking 4runner for months until I ran into this rhino lined. Reminds me of the newer yotas paint scheme. It's great, I really never have to wash anything besides the windows and wheels.

My guess is, whatever the liner paint costs, 100-300 bucks, a paint sprayer and a lot of time prepping. If I ever get another 4runner I'll be lining the outside myself for sure.

Went to the junkyard to pick up a cs144 alternator off a eldorado, thank heavens someone had taken off the ac condenser and radiator, made taking off the alt a 15 min job. Going to rebuild the alt before install. then do the big 3 mod. 26 bucks into this mod, rebuild kit is 40, 66 bucks for a newish alt, in happy with that. The junkyard has saved me some cash lately for mods.

1) Rack & pinion (Cardone unit) from Rokauto
2) Lower Ball Joints from Partznet
3) Rear axle seals

Will need shocks on 4 corners and LCA bushings. To be continued....

I was just looking at those UCA's after I made that post. They are costly. Maybe one day. Mo money sucks when ya have NO money. Lol! I'm putting BILSTEIN 5100 on it. I just don't know if I need to get anything other the bilstein shocks. I.e..springs?
Plus I think I'm gonna go ahead and put upper and litter ball joints in.

Repaired my hatch wiring. 3 broken wires all nicely repaired.

Started on replacing all of my AC components today. Got the compressor, condenser, and drier replaced. Plan on doing the evaporator and expansion valve tomorrow and hopefully get it vacuumed and charged.

The original one is that literal pile behind the replacement. Now I have to drill out the mounting bolts and rig the sides to the side bumper panels. I also can't remove the tow hitch because 3 bolts are fused to it!

I can only print PLA or + currently but did 100% infill and without being in direct sunlight its holding up so far. centercaps did not hold up though lol

Those are one of my junkyard regulars when I find them, I have a stash now. There is also 1 particular fat grommet size that works well here.

Love your solution though, looks great and cool skill to have.

De-crapped my car

I finally removed the crappy aftermarket alarm system in my car and programmed an OEM keyfob. I also checked to see if the OEM alarm system still worked and thankfully everything is working fine!
