Had a new set of tires mounted on Thursday and one of my lug nut studs snapped off during the installation. Went ahead and replaced all six studs on the driver side today. First time getting in there and it was surprisingly easier than I had expected. Only hangup was that the Lisle installer didn't fit so I had to run down to Lowe's and buy a stack of washers. All in all a fun afternoon project.

Today I am fixing rust on the wheel wells, replacing my lift gate (changing out the internal mechanisms as well), putting on some mud flaps, examining my u-joints...

Startup, when there is significant humidity/fog, is rough for the first few minutes.
This indicates moisture is impacting the connections/ignition.
I sprayed the ignition coil connectors (wiring harness side) and the coil connectors (ignition coil side) with electrical contact cleaner and it fixes the problem for a month, then the problem returns.
The problem is that the ignition coil connector (wiring harness side) has cracks in the soft rubberized connector part (that keeps out moisture) - this needs to be replaced and I cannot locate the part number in my reference material.
I would have liked to place this post as a separate forum post but forum rules require obligatory forum replies before separate posts can be created.

Replaced my second set of Rad Rubber splash shields in two years with a new set (I'd call it the "definition of insanity" except that they keep giving me replacement sets, so why not).
Here's what the old one looked like:
Here's the new set installed. I followed their directions to soak it in Fluid Film, and trim anything that even comes close to suspension pieces, so here we are:
The lower right mounting hole was like 1/2" off, but nothing that a utility knife can't fix. We'll see how long this lasts :noidea:

Why did you replace yours in the first place?
I recently bought a few new clips for mine (original) when I did UCA bushings. As usual with me and this site, I'm now wondering if this is something I "need".
Sadly I don't have an answer to your issue but there is a 3rd Gen All Questions Allowed thread that might be a bit more helpful.

Good question - I only bought these because my original Toyota shields (still in great shape) would not work with the 1" BL. Otherwise I would have reused them, they are much better quality.

Pressed out front wheel bearings, gonna get the spindle gussets welded on tomorrow before pressing in new ones 
I always heard it was a b*tch of a job but I actually found a very fast and easy way to press out the hubs and bearings, and after a light sand blasting the spindles and hubs looked like they were fresh off the factory floor. I wish this was a better market to tap into or else I might do this as a side hustle, depending on how much people are willing to pay for freshly restored+reinforced steering knuckles :decision:

Really? Like "stretched" stretched, or did you punch new holes? The one shield on the driver's rear is actually rigid, but I suppose it can just hang from the top with a gap at the bottom.
I keep thinking of adding splash shields to my product line, but not sure how big the demand would be. ??

I honestly just forgot I had them when I installed the BL and they just stretched, and are still there. Yes, there's a gap under the hard hat on the driver side.
If you do start producing flaps please sell the clips, they are so brittle.
What's the Toyota PN for them?

Funny, I knew about these gussets but didn't know they offered completed spindles (I got Total Chaos) - and I was actually wondering why someone like him didn't do so already if they're much smaller production. Guess now I know! Would've been nice to know a couple weeks ago but oh well, at least someone's doing it for others to benefit from :nod:
I must say though, he would probably get more business if he advertised elsewhere instead of exclusively instagram. Kinda weird not to have a website in this day and age

I would assume so, it looks like he gets quite a bit of traffic to his page (I can't see much since I don't have IG.) How much does he charge? I couldn't find any pricing aside for just the gussets alone

Like RC Fab he does custom/small run production and is focused on quality over quantity
