What did you do with your 4runner today?

Cant wait to see it painted! Looks great in the daylight.

Painted, did the fog light mod. It started raining at the end of the drying process, fingers crossed for not having to retouch it:couch2:


EDIT: Looks like it was too wet/cold. Paint started flaking off on the way in to work this morning. Guess what I get to do the next dry day =/

Late getting to this, but pulled the trigger on a new set of 265/75/18 BFG AT K/O 2's.
The Runner has the DayStar Budget lift (2.5"/1.5") I believe. Love the new rubber. Very aggressive, quiet, and very minimal rub on the plastic fender lining towards the front at full turn.

Did the 886 reverse light mod last night.

Actually used an 893 bulb because it was only 38w compared to the 55w of the 886. Didn't want to overload the circuit. Used some scotch brite and acetone to get the black tip off the bulb since I wanted all the light I could get.

Turned out pretty good. Much brighter for sure and the lens still gets really warm even though its just a 38w bulb.

Beefed up my front end with a little (a lot of) help from [MENTION=95673]SAR_Runner[/MENTION] Painting it, swapping my 06 grille on, mounting my lightbar and choosing a winch is next. Lost about 1/2" on my 884 springs, so prob. install 885 or 886 springs depending on which winch I decide on.

RCI skids getting ordered tomorrow, followed by skids at some point

Where did you mount the LED to?

So I mounted it directly under the hood, closed to where you open it. It's hard to describe, so hopefully this picture helps. If you want more pics let me know.

Did you put ambers into the eyebrow? Interesting take on it. I thought all of them had white eyebrows.

Short evenings mean I have to drive to the ride. It's also the reason I found out my rear LED 3175 bulb was being flaky. I couldn't tell if, after 5 years it became unseated, or there was some other issue. But $5 to superbrightled's and the problem was solved.

The lens is amber in the top corner. I used amber led's there so it would stand out a little bit more for contrast

and what sized tire..

There 275/70/17 with 1.25" spacers. I had to trim the mud flaps just a little. Still need to trim the front part of the wheel well liner

I have plenty of Rain-X here, but decided to buy & try Aquapel this time. We'll see how it holds up - if it ever rains/snows here.

Anyone have thoughts on it? The applicator was certainly easier, but it seems like it was mostly gone by the time I got to the passenger's side of the windscreen.
