What did you do with your 4runner today?

Not today, but over the last couple weeks. Numerous things added:

Found out that the Slag roof light bracket does not fit Black Oak 50" light bars. not even close. So a neighbor and I used the bottom part of the bracket and fabbed something up that would accommodate it. Don't point out the welds! It was the middle of the night and this is not a show truck lol.

Added side lights to the FrontRunner rack. They want a huge amount of money for their pod light brackets. Not sure why as you can just bolt a light on one of the bottom holes in the side tracks.

Routed that light and the 50" light bar down the track of the windshield with no problems.

Also added the Firestone airbags because I tow and even with the Icon springs its drooping a bit. I already had onboard air so I routed the air up to a pressure regulator, blow off valve and ball valve so I can fill and empty the bags without dragging an air line out. Just turn the regulator on and flip the ball valve (carefully, as I can fill them up to 30psi in about one second lol).

Getting ready for my suspension swap and in case anyone else needs a top nut for a Bilstein 4600 rear shock, the size is 10mm x 1.25. Got a 6-pack of Class 10.9 (meets or exceeds Class 8 standard) nuts at Auto Zone for about $6.

Ordered lots of things today
-36ft^2 of noico 80mil sound deadening
-50ft^2 of noico 50mil sound deadening
- rolling wheel
-8 denso iridium spark plugs
-yzzd3 oil filter
-cabin air filter
I will be tearing into the runner this weekend
I hope to change the oil and filter and install spark plugs
install sound deadening mat along with some peel and seal and spray undercoating
vacuum and clean interior
Install a driver side spring spacer to level the lean out
Question on this- I have 1/2" spacers on both sides of the front coilover already so will it hurt to add the 1/4" spacer on top of this?
Maybe raise the clip on the bilsteins up a level
alignment
remove all my wheels and thoroughly clean them then rotate

For those looking for storage options, 3 Plano medium size sportsman's boxes fit perfectly like they were made for this truck.

They are pretty rugged and can handle things being stacked on them. I haven't broken one yet and they are only like 25 bucks.

Yeah that’s the one I saw. But like I said OP was mia for a bit or not returning PMs. He posted in a thread recently but I didn’t see anything promising, and people had some issues with fitment. Otherwise I’d buy it and not waste my time trying to do it myself. If he starts making them again, more power to him.

I just figured if I’m going through the trouble of measuring, building a relatively simple 3D model and giving the file out for free pending how good it fits I’d be doing interested fellow members a favor.

Hit the 150k milestone today while dropping off my 5th wheel to get refinished to match my other 4.

Spent sometime yesterday making the house look more festive.

Not 4Runner related but I got in my 2in1 differential reinforcer/brace for my FD the other day.

If only they were flush with the underside of the cargo tray, or three top of the wheel wells.

I have a similar plastic Footlocker that is surprisingly durable. I keep my Jack stands and bottle Jack in it right now.

:rofl: literally spit out my drink reading that. I understand the frustration entirely as I almost always have a drink and the stock one is absolute shit.

Lucky me I guess, I was able to get a TiN one back when he was selling them. I told myself if I ever part ways with the 4th gen, I'd take it out and sell it to someone on here as they'd appreciate it more than some random person who would never have to suffer through the stock dilemma..... but I doubt I'll be parting ways with it anytime soon

Thanks. Its bed liner I got on ebay. It's called raptor liner. Real easy to spray and it's strong. Same stuff I put on rack and sliders. Probably going to do a swing out tire carrier through plastic bumper and be done with it.

Got a chance to run down to the tire shop and get my wheels/tires on the truck. 6" lift, 20x9 33x12.50x20. No rubbing! Now to do some exterior refreshing

Good to know, thanks for the info. I had heard of that product a long time ago, but forgot about it. I have used spray bedliner before such as the Duplicolor one that I’ve sprayed wheelwells and such with and had good results. That one looks like it has a more aggressive pattern to it, which probably adds to the toughness. Was it a spray can, or did you spray with a gun?
